Respect for the Home & House Rules Please be mindful that this home is privately owned, and the owner has put great effort into making it as comfortable and welcoming as possible for your stay. We kindly ask that you treat the home with care to avoid any potential damage fees.

Storm Policy / Road Conditions No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep, so we strongly recommend all-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, or snow tires. Even after the driveway has been plowed, it may remain slippery. Gravel drives are well maintained, but we do not issue refunds due to road conditions. Departures caused by inclement weather do not warrant a refund of rent or deposit. We do not offer refunds for snow or heavy rainstorms.

Third-Party Bookings If your reservation was made through a third-party platform such as Airbnb or VRBO, please note that additional terms, fees, or restrictions may apply based on that platform’s policies. We recommend reviewing the platform’s terms carefully to understand their specific guidelines. Regardless of where your booking was made, all GetAway Vacations policies remain in full effect throughout your stay.

Security Camera Winter Lore has a Ring security camera mounted on the front of the garage. This is the only camera on the property.

Safety Notice – River Drop-Off Please use caution near the front yard. There is a steep drop-off to the river below. Do not approach the edge, as the ground may be slippery.

Buttermilk Falls is a beautiful nearby swimming spot perfect for a summer dip — ⚠️ please swim at your own risk, as there’s no lifeguard on duty.

Footwear Policy Please remove snow boots and snowboard boots before entering the home. These can damage the floors and track in water and salt. A designated ski storage area is located in the garage.

Smoking, Vaping & Drug Use Policy For the health, comfort, and safety of all guests, please note the following: Smoking of any kind — including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or marijuana — is not permitted inside the home. Vaping and e-cigarette use are also prohibited indoors. Illegal drug use is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property. If evidence of smoking or vaping is found inside, a $250 specialized cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file. In the event of illegal drug use, law enforcement will be notified.

Pet Policy We’re delighted to welcome your furry companion to Sugar Hollow! To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, please keep the following guidelines in mind: One (1) pet is permitted per reservation. Wildlife Awareness: Our home is surrounded by nature, and you may encounter birds, deer, squirrels, and other wild animals. Please do not allow pets to chase or harass wildlife—they’re part of the local ecosystem and deserve to feel safe too. Pets must remain on a leash at all times when outdoors. Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the home. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds, and may not enter the hot tub or pool area under any circumstances. Excessive shedding, damage, or lack of cleanup may result in additional cleaning or damage fees. Thank you for being a responsible pet parent and helping us keep Sugar Hollow fresh, welcoming, and enjoyable for every guest.

Hot Tub Rules Please enter and exit carefully — the stone steps can be slippery, especially in winter. Swimsuits are required, and we ask that you shower with soap before use. Children must be supervised at all times, and no children under five are permitted. No jumping, diving, or glass containers in or near the tub. Avoid using the hot tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Please do not turn the jet knobs, add any soaps, fragrances, or chemicals, or place toys or washcloths in the water. These can damage the pump and may result in repair fees. Replace the cover when not in use and do not sit or lie on it. Those who are pregnant or have heart conditions should avoid use, and healthy adults should limit sessions to 20 minutes. For nighttime use, turn on the covered deck light using the switch beside the sliding glass door in the upstairs living room.

Robe & Flip Flop Use Unwind in the private hot tub and soak in the peace of the forest surroundings. Eight cozy bathrobes and matching flip-flops are provided near the garage door on the lower level for your convenience. When you’re done, please bring the robes back inside and place them in the laundry room for washing. Missing or damaged robes will incur an $80 replacement charge.

Shuffleboard Enjoy a friendly game downstairs — just remember, no drinks on the table! You’ll find the shuffleboard sand (also called wax) on the shelf above the ceramic stove. Sprinkle it lightly like snowfall, spread it evenly with your hand or a brush, and test the glide. Too much sand will slow the pucks, while too little can cause them to stick. After you finish, simply sweep up the extra sand so the next game is ready to play.
