Respect for the Home & House Rules Please be mindful that this home is privately owned, and the owner has put great effort into making it as comfortable and welcoming as possible for your stay. We kindly ask that you treat the home with care to avoid any potential damage fees.

Footwear Policy Please remove snow boots and snowboard boots before entering the home. These can damage the floors and track in water and salt. A boot tray is provided near the entrance for your convenience.

Wood Floor Care These beautiful wood floors are part of what makes the home so warm and inviting—thank you for helping keep them that way! Please lift (not drag) chairs, luggage, or furniture to avoid scratches. Remove heavy boots or outdoor shoes at the door to protect the finish and keep the space clean.

Pet Policy We’re delighted to welcome your furry companion to Sugar Hollow! To ensure a comfortable stay for all guests, please keep the following guidelines in mind: One (1) pet is permitted per reservation. Pets must remain on a leash at all times when outdoors. Please clean up after your pet both inside and outside the home. Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds, and may not enter the hot tub or pool area under any circumstances. Excessive shedding, damage, or lack of cleanup may result in additional cleaning or damage fees. Thank you for being a responsible pet parent and helping us keep Sugar Hollow fresh, welcoming, and enjoyable for every guest.

Smoking, Vaping & Drug Use Policy For the health, comfort, and safety of all guests, please note the following: Smoking of any kind — including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, or marijuana — is not permitted inside the home. Vaping and e-cigarette use are also prohibited indoors. Illegal drug use is strictly forbidden anywhere on the property. If evidence of smoking or vaping is found inside, a $250 specialized cleaning fee will be charged to the card on file. In the event of illegal drug use, law enforcement will be notified.

Wildlife Note This home is in an area where you may see wildlife such as bears, deer, and smaller animals. Do not leave food, trash, pet food, or coolers outside or in vehicles. Keep doors, windows, and vehicle windows closed when unattended. Never approach, feed, or try to interact with wildlife. These steps help protect both guests and animals and reduce the risk of property damage.

Security Cameras For everyone’s safety, Sugar Hollow has an exterior camera overlooking the back deck and hot tub/pool area. It’s used to monitor weather, access, and the property only — there are no cameras inside the home.

If you’d like extra privacy while you’re using the hot tub or pool, you’re welcome to gently point the camera away from the seating/water area during use. Please be sure to return it to its original position when you are finished. If you have any questions or concerns about the camera, just reach out and we’ll be happy to help.

Storm Policy / Road Conditions No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep, so we strongly recommend all-wheel drive, four-wheel drive, or snow tires. Even after the driveway has been plowed, it may remain slippery. Gravel drives are well maintained, but we do not issue refunds due to road conditions. Departures caused by inclement weather do not warrant a refund of rent or deposit. We do not offer refunds for snow or heavy rainstorms.

Winter Shoveling Typically, a plow service clears the main driveway after storms, but guests may be responsible for shoveling steps and decks as needed.

Third-Party Bookings If you reserved through a third-party platform such as Airbnb, Vrbo, or Booking, their platform rules and fees also apply. All GetAway policies remain in effect regardless of where you booked.

Before You Depart Please take a few minutes to help us get the home ready for the next guests: Thermostats (September–April): Turn all down to 55°F. Trash: Please bag all trash and recyclables before placing them in the designated outdoor barrels. Collection takes place every Tuesday. Windows & Lights: Make sure all windows and doors are closed, and turn off every light. Dishes: Load used dishes into the dishwasher, add detergent, and start the cycle.
