The home features 2 thoughtfully appointed bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Sleeping arrangements include one King bedroom and one Queen bedroom, both designed with supportive gel mattresses, luxurious cotton-linen blend sheets, blackout shades, and custom built headboards. For additional guests, the sun-drenched bonus room serves as a flexible space with custom built-in full-size daybeds and its own mini-split system, allowing the home to accommodate up to 5 guests.
The interior is defined by a commitment to comfort and style. The newly renovated bathroom serves up total spa vibes with Moroccan Zellige tiles, brass fixtures, a floating vanity, and a bamboo bathmat. The fully appointed kitchen is equipped for any culinary need, featuring handmade ceramics, a brand new fridge, dishwasher, and a variety of coffee options including a drip coffee maker and french press.
Step outside to find a private, fully enclosed backyard designed for wellness and relaxation. Guests can practice their flow on the dedicated wooden yoga and meditation deck, lounge in one of the two hammocks, or dine at the outdoor table under a sail shade. As evening falls, the space transforms into a personal stargazing deck or a cozy gathering spot around the fire pit.
Located in a safe residential neighborhood, Zen House is perfectly positioned for exploring the region, situated just an 8-minute drive to Pioneertown and an 18-minute drive to the iconic Joshua Tree National Park.

- Access: Guests have full access to the home, excluding the garage (washer/dryer available in garage upon request for long stays).

Shoes off are strongly preferred inside Zen House. Please do not step on the bedroom rugs with your outdoor shoes.
The Nest is not touch screen. It can be navigated using the touch dial on the right side of the thermostat. If using the AC, please DO NOT GO BELOW 68 degrees. Doing so may freeze my pipes and result in costly damage that I will pass on to you. Lowering the temperature drastically does not cool the house any faster.
We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs and require a non-refundable $50 pet fee. If pet fee is not paid prior to arrival and pets are on the property (including any visits from friends during the day), there will be a $150 fee charged. Pets are not allowed on beds and living room couch.
We require all guests to be registered with names and emails. Our home is intended as a quiet retreat for up to 5 overnight guests. We do not allow parties. Daytime occupancy is limited to no more than 6 people at one time (including the overnight guests.) If these rules are found to be broken it will result in a $150 fee plus any damages. If you wish to host more than 4 guests using the daybeds in the sunroom, please inquire so we can make the appropriate accommodations.
Check-in time is between 3pm and 9pm. This allows us to have someone available to respond to any issues immediately upon check-in. We operate a small business and do not have a 24-hour phone line. You’re welcome to arrive later at your own discretion but if you encounter problems upon checking in late, please be advised that a response may not be received until the following morning. You may park up to 2 cars on our driveway and 1 car in front of the house.
Noise carries in the wide open desert spaces. Please be respectful of the peaceful surroundings and our neighbors. Keep quiet outdoor hours between 10pm-7am and do not play any music or have loud conversations outdoors.
No professional photoshoots allowed. If you would like to use our property in a photoshoot a written/contract agreement must be reached with us beforehand. Fees start at $500 per day, and proof of COI is required.
