Welcome to Blackbear Lodge! Located just below Hunter Mountain in Chichester, NY, our home is the perfect getaway for friends and families to enjoy. The house was recently renovated to offer modern amenities you might expect from a resort hotel, while maintaining the thoughtful charm that makes it a true home away from home.

This spacious retreat features 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests. The sleeping arrangements include a King Size Bedroom with an en suite bathroom, a Queen Size Bedroom, a bedroom with bunk beds, and a bedroom with a full bed. Additionally, a twin bed is located in the sunroom, which also provides a small desk perfect for laptop work. All bedrooms are thoughtfully decorated with Casper Mattresses and quality linens, featuring spacious closets and individual climate control for personalized comfort.

Inside, the living room is a cozy sanctuary where you can lounge on leather sofas by the electric fireplace or gaze through picture windows at the lush foliage. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, an expansive island with stools, and all the tools needed for a gourmet meal. For bathrooms, you will find a powder room off the main area, a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination, and a master en suite boasting a large clawfoot bathtub and a spacious shower.

Step outside to a front porch deck that leads to an al fresco dining area illuminated by bistro lights. The outdoor space includes a propane grill, a fire pit with Adirondack chairs, and a swing set playhouse for children. For families, we provide extensive creature comforts, including a high chair, crib, pack and play, babybjorn bouncer, wipeable changing table, and a non-wifi baby monitor.

Nestled on the south side of Hunter Mountain, the lodge is a quick 15-minute drive to the ski slopes and a 20-minute drive to Kaaterskill Falls. Whether you are visiting for winter skiing and snowboarding, autumn hiking, or summer trips to local farms and vineyards, the location is ideal. Nearby dining favorites include the Phoenicia Diner and Woodstock Brewing.
