About Property

Welcome to Lily Pad, a charming lakefront cottage in Homer, New York, that offers it all whether you are seeking a quiet getaway or a comfortable home base while visiting the area. This delightful retreat is perfectly positioned for those heading to local universities, located only 15 minutes from SUNY Cortland and 30 minutes from Syracuse University with easy access to I81.

The cottage is designed to accommodate up to 4 guests, featuring 1 bedroom with a king bed, a large dresser, and a closet. For additional guests, the living room couch seamlessly converts into a queen sleeper sofa. The layout is ideal for a romantic escape or a vacation for a small family, providing a cozy atmosphere throughout the home.

Inside, the fully equipped kitchen is a highlight, featuring an island with two stools and a large picture window that overlooks the lake. It comes prepared for any meal with pots, pans, utensils, an extensive spice rack, an instant pot, toaster, microwave, coffee maker, air fryer, and food processor. For entertainment, you can enjoy a variety of books and games or relax with a 75" smart TV with access to Netflix and other apps.

Outdoor living is where Lily Pad truly shines. Guests can tie up their boat at the private dock, explore the waters using the two provided kayaks, or unwind by the lakeside fire pit. The large, shaded deck is the perfect spot for BBQ'ing on the gas grill and taking in the evening sunsets. While the property is situated in a lakefront community on a private gravel road with small, close-together lots, fences on both sides ensure your privacy.

While lakefront homes are often seen as summer spots, this cottage is a perfect getaway year-round. Guests can enjoy autumn foliage, visit apple orchards, embark on local wine tours, or take advantage of great hiking and downhill skiing. It is especially convenient for parents visiting during orientation, move-in, or parents weekend at SUNY Cortland.
