About Property

Discover the ultimate lakeside escape at Hideaway Cove, a picture-perfect retreat nestled along the quiet and serene waters of Carmel Cove in Swanton, Maryland. This charming A-frame cabin is designed to evoke the comfortable feeling of home, featuring an open concept design and bright windows that invite the beauty of the outdoors inside.

Designed for connection and relaxation, the home accommodates up to 8 guests. The layout includes 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, ensuring plenty of space for everyone. Sleeping arrangements consist of 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa located in the upstairs loft.

Whether you are seeking adventure or tranquility, this home provides the perfect backdrop. Spend your mornings sipping coffee on the dock or exploring the water with the provided gear. The property is built for family bonding, from enjoying dinner at the large dining table and barbecuing on the back deck to roasting marshmallows by the fire pit or sharing laughs in the hot tub. Guests can also take advantage of the two single kayaks (including one fishing kayak), two stand-up paddleboards, and fishing rods available for use.

Located just minutes from the best of the region, you are close to the Wine Cellar at Deep Creek Lake, Deep Creek Lake State Park, and local favorites like Dutch's at Silver Tree and the Harbor Bar. Wisp Resort, famous for skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, is only 15 minutes away. The surrounding area offers endless exploration, from the waterfalls of Swallow Falls State Park to the homemade treats at The Lakeside Creamery.

Important Boating Advisory: Due to variable water levels and a low bridge at the cove entrance, some boating restrictions apply. Most pontoons or speed boats with towers (especially hard-top pontoons) cannot be docked at the home. We recommend renting specific low-profile boats from local partners to ensure cove access. Please note that the owners' boat in the center slip is not for guest use, though guests may dock their own boats on either side of the dock.
