Please remove your shoes when entering the home. We also have towels by the front door to wipe off paws of pets as they come and go. The home is on a septic system, please do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet or sink. The sink does not have a garbage disposal so all food scraps must be placed in the trash can. There is not municipal garbage pickup out here. If you are staying longer than a few days you may need to take your trash out to the local collection center at the bottom of the hill, literally a 5 minute drive down the road. There are directions on the side of the fridge in the home on how to get there and trash bags are provided. Please do not leave trash outside the home as this will attract bears, and bears that learn to live off people food are killed. Please help us keep this place wild and contain all food trash inside the home. Only guests registered with the party are allowed on the property. We cannot have more than 5 people in the home at one time. We do not allow events or gatherings at the home. Also the individual booking the property must be one of the people staying at the property the entire time, we do not allow third party bookings. *****Do not allow pets on the furniture, this includes the beds, couches, and outdoor balcony furniture. We would like to keep this home available to pet owners, so please be mindful of the impact your pet may make on the property. If pets are allowed in bed as evidenced by a lot of pet hair, urine stains, flea dirt, or appearance of fleas, costs for additional laundering and fumigations will be assessed. We have had a big problem with guests allowing pets in the beds and destroying linens. In order to keep the home pet friendly, we ask you respect those rules. When the pet is not being supervised, we ask that they are contained in a kennel or carrier to prevent damage to the property. Please pick up pet waste that is outside the home on the grass areas and dispose of it when you leave the property. There is a maximum of 2 pets per reservation. We will need to be made aware of the number and type of pets staying in the home. There is a $75 per stay pet fee. Early check in and late checkout cannot always be granted. If you need this please message ahead of booking to see if we can accommodate this request. There will be a fee for late check outs and if not planned in advance that fee will be doubled. We respectfully request that you give us time to get the home thoroughly cleaned between stays, and late check outs impact our time to clean. We do not allow smoking on the premises. Any evidence of smoking will be reason to cancel the reservation or request damage claims for clean up and remediation. Do not burn candles, incense or have any sort of fragrant spray in the home. The basement is unfinished. The washer and dryer are in the basement. Please do not disturb owners belongings in the basement. The attic is also unfinished and not accessible to guests. There is no local trash service out here, please take your trash to a collection area just down the hill.
