About Property

Discover the serene beauty of the Virginia countryside at this beautifully renovated 1930s bungalow. Once a part of the historic Lucy Selena motel and now situated on the stunning Firmstone Manor estate, this retreat offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury in Clifton Forge.

Designed for a peaceful getaway for two, the cottage features a single-level layout with one bedroom containing a comfortable king bed. The bathroom is thoughtfully updated, offering a tiled walk-in shower for a refreshing start to your day. The heart of the home is a charming open-concept great room with cozy seating and a high-top dining table, which flows seamlessly into a full kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and Keurig coffee maker.

While the bungalow is steeped in history, it is outfitted with all the modern comforts you need, including central A/C, high-speed Wi-Fi, and 4K streaming TVs in both the great room and bedroom (compatible with your Roku guest account).

Beyond the front door, the experience expands to 13 acres of open land to roam. Guests are invited to explore the grounds, find a quiet spot under a tree to read, or spend an evening stargazing from the open fields while taking in the breathtaking mountain views. While the hosts reside on-site in the 1873 Victorian Firmstone Manor, the vast acreage ensures a high level of privacy and quiet.

Located ideally halfway between Clifton Forge, Lexington, and Bath County, the property serves as a gateway to the best of the region. You are perfectly positioned to enjoy local Virginia wineries, craft breweries, and mountain biking trails. For nature lovers, the area is a hub for fly fishing on the Jackson and Cowpasture Rivers, with easy access to state parks, national forests, and historic mineral springs.
