Discover an unforgettable, secluded off-grid camping experience at Beech Timber, a rustic glamping retreat nestled in Lee County, Kentucky. Set on approximately 25 private wooded acres near the breathtaking Red River Gorge, this escape is designed for travelers who truly want to unplug and immerse themselves in the peaceful magic of Kentucky's wild beauty.
Designed as an upgraded camping experience, Beech Timber is closer to camping-with-a-roof than a traditional cabin. The property features a unique sleeping configuration with 1 bedroom and 1 bed according to official records, though the interior layout provides flexible arrangements across a ground floor and a loft. To ensure cleanliness in the heavily wooded environment, beds are stored upright and will be unmade upon arrival; guests simply lower them and use the fresh linens provided in protected totes.
Embrace the serenity of nature with a variety of outdoor features. Explore your own developed hiking trails, relax by the creek in a hammock, or gather around the spacious firepit to share stories under the stars. The minimalist outdoor kitchen is equipped with a propane stove, a sink setup using two 5-gallon water jugs, and a charcoal grill. For hygiene, the property includes an outdoor rainwater shower and an outdoor privy.
As a true off-grid retreat, Beech Timber has no traditional electricity, running water, A/C, or heat. A small solar setup provides a single outlet for charging small devices or light sources. Guests are encouraged to bring plenty of drinking water, charcoal for the grill, and their own towels. A starter pack including toilet paper, paper towels, biodegradable dish soap, trash bags, and a sponge is provided.
Located near Red River Gorge, the property is a short drive from Natural Bridge State Park, PMRP, and endless adventures including rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, and zip-lining.
