Discover the perfect mountain escape at Hillside, a spacious 6-bedroom cabin located at Sautee Mountain Retreat in Clarkesville, Georgia. Designed for family reunions, group getaways, wedding guests, and church retreats, this roomy retreat offers a wonderful balance of comfort, convenience, and mountain charm near the popular attractions of Helen.
This 2,400 sq ft property is designed with a group-friendly layout. Sleeping arrangements are distributed across six bedrooms to accommodate up to 15 guests. The main level features two bedrooms each with a King bed. The bottom level includes a bedroom with a Queen bed, a room with a Full bed and sleeper sofa, and a bedroom featuring two Queen beds. For guests seeking extra privacy, the sixth bedroom is a private exterior-access suite with a Queen bed, accessed via a separate downstairs door. The home is supported by 5 bathrooms, including a convenient bathroom on the main level.
Inside, you will find rustic mountain decor and open-concept living spaces. Guests can relax by the wood-burning fireplace or enjoy the flat-screen Smart TV. For those traveling for work, the home includes a dedicated conference area and a desk area for teleworking. The fully stocked kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances and a standard drip coffee maker.

Located in the heart of North Georgia, Hillside is ideally situated for exploring the Chattahoochee National Forest, riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, or wandering through downtown Helen.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM via lockbox self check-in. Please note that stairs are required, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Parking is available for two vehicles in the driveway, with additional first-come, first-served street parking. Pets are welcome with a $75 pre-trip fee. For larger groups, 14 additional cabins are available on-site; please inquire about availability for multiple property bookings.
Cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival receive a 100% refund (less a $75 fee). Those made between 15 and 30 days receive a 50% refund (less a $75 fee). No refunds are issued for cancellations within 15 days of arrival.

- Guests must sign a rental agreement after booking through Sautee Mountain Retreat reiterating the house rules.
- Strictly NO parties. Guests over the guest total will incur $100 per night per guest charges & any fines initiated by the county for being over permitted limit.
- Unauthorized early/late check-ins or late check-outs that cause delays with cleaning and impact future guests are subject to an additional charge equaling the nightly rate. PLEASE NOTE: We have high occupancy & the majority of our reservations are back to back. Early check-ins & check-outs will be difficult especially during peak times.
- No smoking inside the Airbnb or with doors open. Please dispose of cigarette butts & ashes responsively & not in the woods or patio.
- County noise ordinance after 10 p.m.
- Kids are not allowed unattended on balconies or stairs also keep a close eye on children while using these areas.
- We reserve the right to ask a guest to vacate the property if they do not follow the house rules. (we have yet to do so, don't be the first!)
- Pets MUST be on the reservation. There is a $75 pet fee per pet. Pets must be up to date on flea & tick treatment as well as rabies (verification may be requested).
- The Primary renter agrees to use extreme caution and care at the premises and to pay any and all repair charges for damage caused by the renter or the renter’s family members, guests, invitees, agents, and/or employees.
- The property is left in the same state that it was rented in. If any furniture is moved, it must be moved back (note that if damages exist from moving furniture, we will have to charge for damages).
- Check-in instructions are sent via email 3 days prior to arrival (be sure to check you spam/junk folder).
- The cabin is located in the woods. While our cleaners are amazing and we have the cabin treated regularly by our pest control company, you may still see the occasional spider, spider web, or bug especially during the spring and summer months. Ticks are also prevalent in the area and travel by host, please be sure to use bug spray when outside to prevent bringing bugs into the cabin. If a critter may make it's way into the property from the cold. Let us know ASAP so we can remedy the situation. Please ensure doors are shut at all times.
- Please note that if you rented Ridgeline or Georgia Peach, these properties have two separate lock out units with separate entrances. There may be another guest in the basement or main level.
- If you are trying to get ahold of us after hours or in case of an emergency, please call. Messages sent after normal hours will be responded to as soon as they are seen. Also, any cleanliness or maintenance issues after arrival, PLEASE CALL MAINTENANCE!
- Strictly no firearms allowed inside of the cabins or property.
