Discover the magic of the Blue Ridge Mountains at The Blissful Burrow, a one-of-a-kind treehouse-style log cabin in Morganton, Georgia. Perched above the forest, this peaceful yet playful retreat blends rustic charm with modern comfort, offering a sanctuary for families and friend groups who want more than just a place to sleep.
Designed so every generation has somewhere to land, the cabin comfortably sleeps 12 guests. The sleeping arrangements include a Primary King Suite featuring a stone fireplace, sitting area, Smart TV, dedicated workspace, and a spa bath with a soaking tub. On the main level, a King bedroom provides quiet, easy access with a private full bath nearby. The Treehouse Loft is the most-photographed spot in the house, featuring two Twin beds and a hanging Queen bed surrounded by floor-to-ceiling forest views. Additional sleeping options include a Queen bed in the private basement and a bonus Twin bed located in the Game Lounge.
Inside, the vaulted log cabin living room boasts a stone fireplace and stunning views. For entertainment, the newly renovated Game Lounge is equipped with air hockey, shuffleboard, board games, and a 75-inch Smart TV. The open-concept kitchen is built for real meals, featuring a stone-front island with bar seating, a dedicated coffee station, and a dining table for six under a lofted ceiling.
Unique owl-themed details are hidden throughout the home as a nod to the Burrowing Owl. Outside, the experience is just as magical with a covered wraparound deck that includes a built-in slide to the forest floor. Guests can relax in the secluded hot tub, gather around the fire pit with provided roasting skewers, or lounge in the various swings and portable hammocks. The property also offers hiking trails, pond views, and an outdoor owl-themed scavenger hunt for children.
Practical details include check-in at 4:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM. The home is dog-friendly and provides a dog bed, bowls, and a kennel; pets must be kenneled if left alone. To protect the mountain septic system, there is no garbage disposal (compost only). Please note that the neighboring pond is not accessible for swimming, and guests should avoid the unfinished storage closet in the basement. Access to the property requires climbing four stairs from the driveway, and interior staircases are used to reach the upper floor and basement.
