Cancellation Policy
Cancellations and refunds depend on the timeframe in which guests request to cancel. Guests who wish to cancel within 48 hours of their initial booking will receive a Full Refund. Cancellations initiated up to 30 days before check-in will receive a 50% Refund, except fees. Finally, any cancellations completed within 30 days of check-in will result in no refund for their stay.
Certain extenuating circumstances may apply to accepting cancellations outside of these terms. In these cases, it is up to the discretion of the property owner or the severe weather policy below. For all inquiries regarding extenuating circumstances, please get in touch with the Town & Island Co. property management team via your preferred booking app or email.
Severe Weather Policy
Our severe weather and Extenuating Circumstances: Hurricane Policy is as follows:
If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor of SC specifically for the county in which your property is located for the dates of your stay, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect. In this case, we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest, and we shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation.
However, if the Governor of SC does not issue a mandatory evacuation order, the standard cancellation policy will still apply, and no refund will be issued. This is the case even if the guest chooses to cancel or travel is disrupted due to the storm.
Additionally, if an adverse weather phenomenon occurs outside of Charleston or South Carolina (i.e., in other regions of the US or abroad) during the guests' stay, which hinders their travel to the property, the standard cancellation policy will still apply. Therefore, a refund will not be issued.
Hurricane season is June through November. During this time, we recommend guests research and purchase travel insurance.
