LAKE HOUSE/COTTAGE RULES:

• NO SHOES on the furniture or in loft

• NO unattended children in loft

-DOGS ONLY. Any other pets discovered brought into the cottage will immediately result in your reservation being canceled with no refund. All dog waste must be picked up and disposed of properly. Dogs are not to be left unattended outdoors, and should be kept leashed when not in the lake or in the cottage

• Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

• NO SMOKING inside the home. Outdoor ashtrays are provided. Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains may be applied.

-Blue beach TOWELS are provided for outdoor use. White towels MUST stay inside the house.

-All SLEEPER SOFAS have sheets and bedding provided. Please use them. Upholstery cleaning fees could result if not used.

-If chairs or side tables are moved, please make sure to place them back in their original spots. DO NOT BRING ANY INDOOR FURNITURE OUTSIDE.

• PLEASE WASH YOUR DISHES after use. Ants will follow food left on dishes.

-Please do not leave open food on counters for extended periods of time.

-TRASH cans with lids are provided outside the house. Please alert the staff if the cans are full when not staying for more than 2 nights.

• PARKING: parking is provided next or in front of the cottage. Please do not double park cars so others can’t exit or enter. Each cottage has space for 2 vehicles. Additional parking is located in the Marina lot, directly next door.

-DO NOT put POTS & PANS on the grill. Destroyed cookware could result in extra charges.

• Charcoal GRILLS are provided outside. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. Ash cans are located around the property to empty grills. If found left dirty and requires extra cleaning, an extra cleaning fee may be required. 1st charcoal bin is complimentary, refills are $10. Please let us know if the lighter fluid is low, or the stick lighters are missing.

• Please acknowledge that from occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

• If you would like to host an event (i.e. graduation, birthday, reunion), please speak with us about it first. We have options beginning at $300 for events.

• If guests are found to have had a party without host permission, you will be asked to leave the property, with no refund.

• If guests are found to have illegal drugs, authorities will be engaged and the reservation will be ended, with no refund.

-Recreational marijuana is legal in Illinois, and you are welcome to partake on property. HOWEVER, do not vape, smoke or dab inside the cottages. Please also be respectful of others on the property. Smoking is not allowed on the beach when minors are present.

• NO unsecured weapons permitted on the property. This includes if you are licensed to conceal carry. Please leave your weapon in your locked travel case while on property.

• All minors are to have a parent or guardian on property at all times. Children under 15 are not to be unattended at the beach for any reason, and children under 12 are not to be unattended on the property in general

-DOCKS,KAYAKS,CANOES,PADDLE BOARDS, ROW BOAT and PADDLES are provided on a first come first served basis. No KIDS under 18 are allowed to be unattended while in or on craft. LIFE JACKETS ARE REQUIRED. Use at your own risk.

-PLEASE put away all KAYAKS,CANOES,PADDLE BOARDS, ROW BOAT, LIFE VESTS, FLOATS, SAND TOYS and PADDLES away in the bottom of the Boathouse. Anything that was locked up must be locked again after use. If locked items are left out for others to use, the last guest to be provided the code will be responsible for lost or damaged items.

Finally, less of a rule and more of a warning/disclosure. As all of our cottages were built between 1913 and 1950, and we are located on a lake in Northern Illinois , THERE WILL BE BUGS AND SPIDERS. We do our best to keep them outside, but they do sometimes like a warm cozy cottage just like you! Please let us know if it is more than a couple spiders or a fly or 2 has gotten in an open window or door, and we'll come and evict them for you, if you need!

We know there are a lot of rules to read through, and we appreciate the time you took to do so! Please share these rules with the members in your group, or feel free to add them to the reservation so they to can have access to the messages and the listing information! As we are a small lake side resort we strive to maintain an enjoyable and safe environment for all of our guests. In doing so we must verify that all rules have been read. Please reply with "AHOY!" in the messages to verify that you have read and agree to the rules. If you have any questions prior to booking, or during your stay, please do not hesitate to ask! Both myself and my manager live on site, and our cleaning crew is always around to assist if needed! Amanda LATE FEE POLICY: For every hour following your check-out time, we will charge a $100 fee. This due to our cleaning and turnover schedules. Please respect out crew and future guests by checking out on time.
