About Property

Discover the magic of the Northwoods at Agua Norte, a stunning retreat recognized as "Minnesota's Coolest Airbnb" by Condé Nast and featured on HBO's Cabin Chronicles. Located in Grand Marais, Minnesota, this unique getaway is perfect for nature-loving guests seeking peace, quiet, and a cozy atmosphere without sacrificing proximity to town.

Designed for two people, the cabin features one bedroom and one bathroom. The sleeping arrangements consist of a queen mattress located in an open loft, accessible via a ship's ladder. For an unforgettable experience, guests can gaze at the stars or the Northern Lights through the large skylight positioned directly above the bed.

The home is an elegant and modern tiny house, measuring 16'x20' and built with sustainably logged white pine timbers. The airy interior is highlighted by a cathedral ceiling and eight large windows that invite the outdoors in. The kitchen is a beautiful space for preparing meals, featuring Doug fir cabinets, blue quartz countertops, a black walnut bar top with two stools, and full-size appliances including a four-burner electric stove, oven, fridge, freezer, blender, and coffee maker. The spacious, spa-like bathroom offers a serene environment with cedar wood paneling, a white vessel sink, and a beach pebble shower floor.

While the property has no general amenities listed in the structured data, the grounds offer an extraordinary experience. Guests can relax on the large cedar deck, watch waves crash on Five Mile Rock, or stroll to the beach across the road. The 20-acre property is teeming with wildlife, from wildflowers and berries to bald eagles that frequent the spruce trees on the cliff. For relaxation, guests can enjoy the private firepit or the wood-fired sauna, which features cedar paneling and a Lake Superior view (shared with other cabins; reservation required).

Nestled among evergreen trees, Agua Norte is only 4 miles and a 7-minute drive from Grand Marais. The area is a sanctuary for birds, butterflies, and those looking for a genuine getaway in nature.
