Welcome to Bluffside Hideaway Cabin. We’re beyond excited to have you!
This place is very special to us. This cabin is our sanctuary to escape to and re-center and reconnect with each other. After staying a few times we just knew that we should share this experience with others. We really love the proximity to other attractions and still being in a very quiet neighborhood. We have so many great memories attached to this place and our hope is that you will too!
In this manual, you’ll find lots of useful information that we’ve compiled to help our guests make the most of their stay. From instructions on how to use the appliances to recommendations for nearby restaurants and shopping areas, we’ve got it all covered.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in is from 4:00 pm and check-out is until 11:00 am. We’d really appreciate it if you could stick to these times.
If you’d like to request a late check-out, please contact us through Airbnb or VRBO or any of the contact details provided at the end of this manual. However, please be informed that we may not be able to grant your request if we have a same-day check-in.
PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
There is plenty of parking spaces at this property. Feel free to park in the driveway, circle drive or in the garage. When parking in the garage, please be sure not to damage any of the walls or appliances that are located in the garage (some vehicles may not fit in the garage). Please be sure to return the garage door remote at check-out, there will be a fee assessed if you forget to return it. Please do not park in front of or behind the house as there are utilities that run through these areas.
HOUSE RULES
We kindly ask you to read our house rules carefully and keep them in mind during your stay.

No unregistered guests allowed. Max occupancy for this property is eight (8) guests.

Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.

Please be respectful of the neighborhood and keep noise levels at an acceptable level.

Please keep the AC at a reasonable temperature and do not leave it running with doors and windows open.

Please respect check-in and check-out times.

Please take care of the furnishings. You will be responsible for damages.

Please don’t rearrange the furniture.

Please do your dishes.

Please take the trash out before you leave.

No illegal substances allowed on the premises.

Do not flush anything down the toilet except human waste and toilet paper (no baby or adult wipes, feminine hygiene products, condoms etc) as this cabin is on a septic system with pump and those items will plug and damage the pump/system.

Please do not put grease or oil down the drain when cooking as this is hard on the septic system and will clog drain piping.

Please use caution when off of the premises. The land that borders the lake is Army Corp of Engineers property (public) and can be quite rugged. There is a bluff located near this home, please use caution and supervise children closely if you venture near it.
HOW TO USE APPLIANCES
Air conditioning:
You can adjust the temperature using the thermostat on the dining area wall. This thermostat controls the temperature in all of the home except for the bunk room. The bunk room thermostat is controlled by the remote on the wall in the bunk room. Please replace the bunk room remote in the wall mount before check-out, a lost thermostat remote will incur a fee. Please keep thermostats at a reasonable temperature, and please don’t leave the A/C or heat running with doors or windows open to the outside.
Washer and dryer:
The washer and dryer are located in the garage. Press the power button to turn on the machines, choose the cycle that is best suited for what you are washing and then hold the start button for three seconds. The machine will count down and then start the selected cycle.
Coffee machine:
The coffee machine is similar to many drip style coffee makers. Put the desired amount of water into the tank, add a coffee filter to the machine (located in the drawer to the left of the sink), and add your coffee to the filter. Press the power button and then there will be options for 1-4 cups of coffee or 5-8 depending on how much water you've added. Make sure that the carafe is in place prior to starting the machine or it will overflow onto the counter.
Dishwasher:
Please make sure the dishwasher is full before turning it on. You’ll find the dishwashing detergent below the kitchen sink.

Should you encounter any sort of emergency during your stay, please contact the local authorities immediately.

Fire Extinguishers are located in multiple places throughout the home. Locations include kitchen, garage, outside grill area and second floor.
Fire escape ladders are located in both the bedroom and bunk room on the second floor. They are stored in the closets of those rooms. These escape ladders are for emergency evacuation only when the normal escape route is obstructed due to smoke or flame. These escape ladders are designed to hook over the bottom of the window and allow a person to climb down the outside of the home. Only use the escape ladders in the event of an emergency.
Security cameras are located on the property and monitor entrances into the home. Security camera locations are for the front door, driveway and garage entrance to the home. Cameras will not be monitored during your stay, but are there in case of emergency. Please do not adjust, obstruct or otherwise tamper with the cameras.
