Welcome to The Charles, an absolutely gorgeous and inviting retreat in Kansas City, Missouri. This unique home is the perfect place to call your home away from home, having undergone a major renovation in early 2021 that brought all new flooring, paint, lighting, bathrooms, and kitchen appliances to the space.

Designed by the late Kansas City artist Dixie Glenn and built by her husband Charles, the home blends artistic history with modern comfort. The layout features 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. The main floor includes a bedroom with a king size bed and a full bathroom overlooking a serene fishpond. Upstairs, the Studio Bedroom offers two queen beds, while another bedroom provides a king bed; both upstairs rooms feature their own full bathrooms and Smart TVs.

At the heart of the home is a spacious two-story great room with many windows and a Smart TV. For those traveling for business, a dedicated home office area provides a quiet workspace that walks out to a patio overlooking the private backyard and pond. The beautiful full-size kitchen is a highlight, featuring a turn-of-the-century soda fountain counter and stools repurposed from a Holton, Kansas drug store. For entertainment, guests can enjoy the game room, complete with an air hockey table, a bar top, and its own 55" Smart TV.

Located on the west edge of the Country Club Plaza, the location is unbeatable. Guests are within easy walking distance of the Plaza's vibrant nightlife, endless shopping, and diverse restaurants. The neighborhood is a true outdoor art gallery filled with sculptures, murals, and fountains. The home is also in close proximity to Midtown, Downtown, the RiverMarket, and Westport. For those with pets, a dog park is located just 3 blocks west.

Practical amenities include a washer and dryer and ample parking via the driveway and 2-car garage.

• Pets: Allowed (Two pet maximum; owners must be responsible and pick up after pets)
• No smoking or vaping of any kind inside the house
• No parties, events, or loud noise; quiet hours are 10pm-8am
• Only guests listed on the reservation are permitted on the premises
• No weapons or firearms allowed
• Illegal activity is strictly prohibited
• Note: The fireplace is not for guest use
• Surveillance: Exterior cameras are located at the front door, back door, driveway, and backyard; noise detection technology may be used inside
• Cancellation: The stated cancellation policy is strictly upheld regardless of medical emergencies or weather; trip insurance is highly recommended
