Escape to the Sandy Beach Retreat, a beautiful destination designed for large family gatherings on the southwest shores of Big Spirit Lake in Orleans, Iowa. This unique property features a great layout with two distinct yet connected living spaces, blending the cozy charm of an A-frame fishing and hunting cabin on the north side with a traditional, beautiful nautical lake home on the south side.
Designed for comfort and capacity, the home accommodates up to 16 guests with 5 bedrooms and 5 beds across 3 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully distributed: the master bedroom offers a king bed, while other guest rooms feature a queen bed and a full-over-full bunk bed. The loft provides additional semi-private space with one queen bed and two twin beds, and the living room includes a queen sofa sleeper for extra guests.
The south side of the retreat is a beautiful lake home featuring a master suite with an ensuite bath, tub, and lake views from the bed. The kitchen is an entertaining space equipped with granite countertops and a wide array of kitchen gadgets. Meanwhile, the A-frame cabin side includes a cute kitchenette and a private bedroom with a tiled shower. For recreation, the attached two-car garage houses a ping pong table and a grill with a griddle, while two-story windows provide stunning views of the water.
Outdoor living is where this property truly shines. Guests can enjoy almost 70 feet of sandy beach and swimmable waters, an expansive docking system, and custom fishing chairs that spin over the water. Whether you are watching the sunrise from the lakefront deck or relaxing on the string-lit patio at sunset, the experience is truly special. Big Spirit Lake is ideal for those seeking swimming, kayaking, and boating fun.

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are available for cancellations made up to 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations between 59 and 30 days receive a 50% refund. No refunds are provided within 30 days of arrival. Booking and credit card processing fees are nonrefundable.

If present and reported, all cleaning or maintenance concerns will be corrected promptly. Service fees may apply to guests who reserve online with a third party booking website. Third party services fees are not controlled nor collected by Okoboji Vacation Company, and as such are not reflected on reservation statements provided by Okoboji Vacation Company. A cancellation fee of 50% will be charged to the traveler if canceled between 60 days and 31 days prior to arrival. Reservations canceled within 30 days of arrival will result in no refund. Booking fees and Credit card fees are nonrefundable. A refundable security deposit of $300 may be charged on reservations. Guests will be responsible for all intentional damage to include but not limited to broken items, soiled or misplaced linens, loss of keys, theft, or failure to remove garbage from the property, or leaving the property excessively dirty. Confetti or glitter is not allowed in the property.
