Designed for larger groups and family gatherings, the home is thoughtfully arranged across two separate, private floors, each with its own entrance to provide separate living spaces. The layout consists of 8 bedrooms, 14 beds, and 4 bathrooms, accommodating 16 or more guests.
The upstairs area features four bedrooms, including two queen rooms, a twin-over-twin bunk room, and a loft bedroom with a pull-out full futon couch. This level offers two bathrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, and a dedicated workspace in the loft. Guests can enjoy a fully stocked, open-concept chef's kitchen and a spacious living room equipped with a smart TV and a huge drop-down projector screen for movie nights. Outside, a deck provides seating, a grill, and seasonal views of Magic Mountain.
The ground floor provides an additional four bedrooms, consisting of two queen rooms, a twin-over-twin bunk room, and a room with two separate twin beds. This level also includes two bathrooms, its own fully stocked open-concept chef's kitchen, a bar area with seating, a wood-burning fireplace, and a living room with a smart TV.
Outdoor relaxation is a priority here, with a hot tub featuring cabana seating, a fire pit with a dedicated seating area, and several seasonal gardens.
Location & Neighborhood: Situated in the heart of central Vermont, the chalet is a prime base for adventure. Magic Mountain is just 1 minute away, and Lowell Lake State Park is 5 minutes away. Other nearby ski destinations include Bromley (12 minutes), Stratton Mountain (20 minutes), Okemo Mountain (24 minutes), and Mount Snow (40 minutes). For shopping and dining, both downtown Ludlow and downtown Manchester are approximately 25 minutes away.
Practical Info & Rules: Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. This is a non-smoking residence both inside and out; violations will result in a $500 fine. While pets are welcome on the first floor only, they are not permitted on the second floor. A pet fee applies (please verify current rate with host). Please note that the dryer is currently broken and inaccessible. Guests have access to the entire home except for a locked owner's closet.

While it is our hope that all of our guests will enjoy their time with us, we do ask you to take note of the following additional rules home at our home: We ask guests to remove all shoes while inside the house. If you are bringing a pet, please ensure all pet waste is bagged and tossed in our outside bins. Any pet waste left on our grounds will incur a $100 fee. Silver Birch Chalet is a non-smoking residence (both inside and out). Any violation of this rule will result in a $500 fine. Per our listing, we have a 16-person maximum in this house. Unauthorized overnight guests will be charged $500 per person per night. We do not allow parties, events, or loud noise. Any violation of these rules will incur a $500 fine. We are proud to offer curated furniture and decor throughout the house. Any unauthorized movement of furniture will result in a $250 fine. WAIVER & RELEASE of LIABILITY: The owners urge all guests to use Silver Birch Chalet features, facilities and its grounds in the safest manner. Use of all features, including but not limited to the use of stairs, grounds, outdoor and indoor amenities, and appliances are done at the guest’s sole risk. Guest understands that they are fully responsible for use of all features and owners shall not be liable to guest for any claims related to illnesses, demands, injuries, damages, or actions arising out of or in connection with the misuse of facilities, natural events/disasters or general accidents on facility grounds. Guests choosing to use any fire-burning amenity (such as a fire pit and / or fireplace) agree to do so safely and in accordance with house rules. Guests understand owners are not to be held responsible for damaged or lost personal property. Guest hereby holds owners harmless from any/all claims brought against them. Guest understands that by booking a reservation they are effectively agreeing to the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
