Discover a unique blend of history and intellect at the Brick House, a charming retreat located in the heart of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Originally built in 1925 and meticulously modernized and restored in 2011, this property offers an inviting atmosphere for those visiting the area.

This well-lit second-floor space is designed for versatility, functioning as both a daytime office and a peaceful bedroom. The layout features 1 bedroom with 2 beds, including a comfortable, full-sized Murphy bed that folds up when not in use to maximize the 180 square feet of living space. To ensure a productive stay, the room is furnished with a desk, desk lamp, desk chair, and a wardrobe. For relaxation and entertaining, the room also includes a sofa and an armchair. Guests have access to 1 bathroom, which is a beautiful, new space boasting a modern shower. Please note that this bathroom is shared with the adjacent Window Seat Room; however, privacy is maintained via a lock on the bedroom side and a 'Do Not Enter Without Knocking' sign.

Inside the room, a small fridge and microwave are available for keeping and heating snacks and beverages. As part of the Center for Human Science, guests have access to a wide array of campus facilities across two acres, including:

• Free onsite parking
• A Breakfast Nook at 219 McCauley with coffee, fruit, bagels, and more
• A seminar room with a large screen TV for group gatherings
• A shaded grove featuring a grill, tables, and hammocks (available March through November)
• A washer/dryer located in the basement

Location is everything here; you are as close to UNC as possible without joining a sorority. The property is a short walk to Memorial Hall, Kenan Stadium, the Dean Dome, and the Ackland Art Museum. Just two blocks north lies the heart of Franklin Street, with its diverse array of restaurants, bookshops, and music venues. A paved footpath also leads to downtown Carrboro and the Weaver Street Coop.
