Discover a peaceful retreat in the heart of Chapel Hill at the Center for Human Science. Located within a historic 1907 frame house, this attractive guest room blends vintage charm with practical convenience, offering a serene escape just steps from the university.

This inviting space is designed for comfort and functionality, featuring 1 bedroom with 1 bed and 1 bathroom. The room is characterized by high ceilings and a decorative fireplace with a mantle, complemented by a colorful area rug on classic wood floors. For your convenience, the interior is thoughtfully furnished with a queen-sized bed, a rocker, a large dresser, and a closet with a full-length mirror. A dedicated workspace with a desk, chair, and lamp is provided, along with a futon and end table for extra lounging space. Guests enjoy the privacy of an ensuite bathroom with a shower.

Beyond the room, you will find a wealth of shared campus facilities. Down the hall is a fully-equipped kitchen, a computer station, and a communal bathroom with a tub that houses a washer and dryer. Directly outside your door, the front porch provides a wonderful spot to sit or entertain while overlooking the street. The property spans a 2-acre campus where you can enjoy shaded groves with hammocks, grills, and picnic tables, as well as an awesome two-person swing and a bronze elephant for all ages to enjoy. Guests are also welcome to visit the adjacent 219 McCauley building for breakfast, snacks, fruit, and coffee in the breakfast nook, or attend frequent Thursday Happy Hours in the Quorum dining room.

Situated in one of Chapel Hill's historic districts, the center is adjacent to UNC. You are just a half-block from the Carolina Inn and the Global Education Center, and within a short walk to the heart of Franklin Street's shops and dining. A paved footpath also leads directly to downtown Carrboro and the Weaver Street Coop.

• House Rules: No pets, no smoking, no parties or events, and not suitable for children or infants.

Please note that because this room is occasionally in demand for longer stays, the host reserves the right to upgrade guests to alternative suitable Center accommodations at no additional cost.
