Welcome to the Deadwood Main Escape, a happy little bungalow and the perfect home base for your next adventure in Deadwood, South Dakota. Discover a cozy, clean, and fun spot to chill with friends and family, situated in the historical neighborhood on the historical Burnham Hill. This historic cozy home on lower Main Street offers the ideal balance of a quiet retreat while keeping the exciting action of downtown at your fingertips.

Designed for group comfort, the home features 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, accommodating up to 6 guests. The layout is spread across two floors: the main floor hosts the master bedroom with a queen bed, the bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, and a utility room with a washer and dryer. The top floor contains two additional sleeping areas: Bedroom 1 with a full bed and Bedroom 2 featuring two twin beds. Please note that while the master and the double twin room have doors, the third bedroom utilizes a curtain for privacy.

This home is not completely renovated and maintains many historic aspects, including original windows and walls. Guests should be aware of older home quirks, such as the short staircase where some may need to duck when heading upstairs. However, the space has been new and improved as of May 2026 with updates including new paint, flooring, updated furnishings, and new air conditioners.

Enjoy the outdoors on the deck, which features seating, two swivel chairs, and an outdoor dining table overlooking the Deadwood Visitors Center and lower Main. For your convenience, there are 2 parking spots behind the house, with city parking available across the street for additional vehicles or trailers.

Located just a 3-minute walk from the restaurants, bars, shopping, and gambling of downtown, you can save yourself the headache of finding parking or hailing taxis. Beyond the city, this central location provides easy access to iconic attractions, including Mt Rushmore (35 min), Devil's Tower (45 min), and Custer State Park (1 hr).
