Welcome to the Pondo, your rustic Black Hills getaway! Discover the charm of Room 16, one of five quaint, vintage motel rooms at the Ponderosa Inn and Cabins, nestled among the trees in Lead, South Dakota. This simple, clean, and peaceful retreat is the perfect base for families or small groups looking to recharge after a day of exploring Mount Rushmore, Terry Peak, or the historic streets of Deadwood.

The layout consists of 1 bedroom featuring 2 plush queen beds and 1 bathroom, comfortably accommodating 4 guests. To ensure your stay is relaxing, the room is equipped with brand new heating and cooling (PTAC) units, a Smart Roku TV with Guest Mode for your own subscriptions, and on-demand hot water. For your convenience, we provide a microwave, mini refrigerator, and a coffee station complete with mugs and basic dishes. You can pack light and travel easy, as we provide fluffy towels, fresh linens, and a hairdryer.

Step outside to your own covered porch with seating, an ideal spot for a quiet morning coffee while watching deer or turkeys roam the property. Guests also have access to the front patio area and shared common spaces, including a covered picnic area.

Located just 100 yards off Highway 85, the property offers a laid-back atmosphere. Please note that as a rustic mountain property, some highway noise may be possible depending on traffic and season. As this is a shared rental space featuring both hotel rooms and cabins, you will likely encounter other guests on the grounds.

• Check-in: 4:00 PM (Fully contactless via a unique door code)
• Check-out: 10:00 AM
• Pets: Allowed (Up to 2 potty-trained dogs/cats; must stay off furniture and not be left alone unless kenneled; $75 one-time fee; leashes required outdoors)
• Smoking: Permitted only in the designated area under the covered picnic area on the south side
• Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Parking: Free parking available near your unit
