About Property

Discover the ultimate waterfront escape at the First Floor of Casa Arroyo Sporting Lodge, a spacious retreat in Rio Hondo, Texas, where the Arroyo Colorado meets the Lower Laguna Madre. This 2,400 square foot sanctuary puts you right at the water's edge, offering a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure for families, friends, and sporting parties.

The property features a flexible layout with 4 bedrooms, 4 beds, and 2 bathrooms. These accommodations provide comfortable sleeping for 9 guests, utilizing a combination of full-size beds and daybeds. The two newly renovated bathrooms are equipped with spacious walk-in showers for a refreshing end to a day of exploration.

The heart of the home is a big open living and game room, complete with a pool table, comfortable sofas, a TV, and a full bar, all framed by warm wood-plank ceilings. For dining and preparation, a brand-new kitchen with modern appliances and generous counter space makes it easy to cook for a crowd, from quick breakfasts to fresh-caught dinners.

Outdoor living is central to the experience. A wide, covered deck with a BBQ area overlooks the water, providing a stunning vantage point to watch boats drift by. Guests also have access to a lighted pier and boat dock with covered slips, perfect for fishing day or night.

Located in the quiet community of Arroyo City, the lodge is the final private parcel before the entrance to Adolph Thomae Jr. County Park and the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. This area is an outdoor paradise for birding and world-class bay fishing for redfish, trout, and flounder. While the atmosphere is peaceful and remote, South Padre Island and Port Isabel beaches are only about 40 minutes away, and Harlingen is roughly 35 minutes away for groceries and dining.
