Experience the historic charm of Leadville at the Governor's Mansion, an extraordinary 1893 estate located just half a block from Main Street. Once the home of Governor Jesse McDonald, this majestic residence blends rustic charm with a lively history, providing a unique mountain retreat for groups of up to 14 guests.

Designed for both privacy and togetherness, the mansion is cleverly divided into three lockable units, ensuring every family in your group has their own door and living space. The property features 6 bedrooms, 6 beds, and 4.5 bathrooms.

Sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully distributed across the three units:

Main Unit: Features three bedrooms including a king suite with an en-suite bath and jetted tub, and two queen bedrooms, all equipped with Smart TVs and electric fireplaces. This unit also includes a private office complete with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Parlor Unit: Offers a queen bedroom with an en-suite bath and Smart TV, plus a private living room with its own electric fireplace and private kitchen.

Attic Loft: Contains a queen bedroom and a bunk room featuring two bunk sets (4 single beds), along with a private living room with an electric fireplace and kitchenette.

For group entertainment and relaxation, the mansion is equipped with several shared highlights:

Practical Information: Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Please note that the property has no A/C, which is rarely needed at an elevation of 10,152 ft. Guests should hydrate and pace themselves to avoid altitude sickness. As an 1893 building, guests will encounter period lighting and vintage wear.

Pets are welcome (max 2) with a $100 fee; however, they may not be left unattended. A refundable security deposit of $350 or a damage waiver ($20/night, max $160) is required. Stays over 15 days require a mid-stay cleaning fee of $150. All check-in details are provided via a digital guidebook link sent by email.
