Noise and neighbours.

While we want you to have fun and enjoy your stay at the sticks, please be aware of the impact your noise and music may have on neighbours and other residents.

Noise and music should not impact any other property and we ask that you keep it to a level that does not travel to other properties.

The local council has strict regulations on the impact of noise on other residents. Residents believing they are being adversely affected by your noise and music have the right to complain to police. Police have the powers to turn music off or confiscate equipment.

We take any complaint about noise or music very seriously as it has the potential to impact the future availability of the holiday home for rental. A noise complaint attended by police may result in your eviction from the property and loss of your bond. Please enjoy your stay but be aware of the impact of your noise on others.

Surfaces and cleaning.

Whilst the house appears strong as it sits in the landscape there are some delicate materials and furniture in it that just need a bit of care.

Concrete is a porous material and will quickly absorb liquids. Anything that is spilled on the floor or the island bench needs to be wiped up immediately with a damp cloth before it can stain. Please be particularly careful with acids, oils or fats (citrus juice, butter, olive oil, grease etc) as they cannot be removed from concrete.

The bench tops should never be used to directly prepare food on or place hot pans on – multiple chopping boards and trivets have been provided for this purpose – many are out but more are in small cupboard to left of ovens. if concerned about making a mess, the black porcelain bench top is far more durable than the concrete one.

The leather couch in the lounge room and chair in reading area are also sensitive to staining from oils so please avoid sitting on it if covered in sunscreen, fake tan, moisturiser etc.

The house has plenty of coasters we would appreciate if you would use them to protect and extend the life of the furniture and the materials used in the house.

There is a rechargeable hand vacuum in the laundry along with a regular vacuum cleaner both of which are available to be used as you like.

Any costs to repair damage will be deducted from the bond.

We ask that you please remove shoes when inside, there is a shoe rack just inside the door.

Shoes & boots.

We recommend that, depending on the season, you bring thongs or ugg boots for inside as well as gum boots for exploring outside.

The beautiful morning fog can make the property quite wet in the morning and if there has been recent rain some areas can be quite muddy.

Please remove muddy boots before walking on the decking area – there are taps around the perimeter of the house for washing them off as needed.
