• 8 guests maximum. No additional guests not on the reservation are allowed on the property. Thank you for respecting this!
• No parties or events
• Smoking is not allowed indoors. Please smoke outside while enjoying the fresh air and dispose of butts in the containers provided. Please help us keep the grounds looking nice for future guests.
• Some pets are allowed, please confirm before booking. If bringing a pet, be sure they are clean before allowing them to enter the cottage. Pets are not allowed in the principal bedroom due to allergy issues from pet dander. Before you leave, please scan the property and dispose of your dog's poop in the garbage.
• We are a no shoes household. We ask guests to remove their shoes when inside the cottage.
• Quiet hours begin at 11 pm (due to by-laws).
• Fires in the wood stove and designated fire pits only.
• The cottage plumbing runs to a septic system on the property. Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Also, please do not pour any type of oils/grease/bleach down the toilets or drains as well.
• Out of respect to the next guests coming to the cottage, please do not cook with curry or any other strong spices or foods that will leave lingering odours inside the cottage.
• We are pleased to provide satellite WiFi (Starlink) at the cottage for your personal use.

Garbage and Recycling Rules

• Garbage & recyclables are to be split into separate clear bags (provided) of a) compostable garbage (biodegradable items only), b) cans/plastic/glass, c) fiber/paper, d) plastic bags/wrap, and e) beer/liquor beverage containers. Notes are posted in the kitchen to help guide you on what the sorting requirements are.
• Personal hygiene items (like toilet paper, sanitary napkins etc.) can be put in small white bags (provided) and then included with the compostable garbage.
• Crushing cans and breaking down boxes will help to reduce the bulk of your garbage.
• The container to store your garbage and recycling is at the top of the driveway.
• There is a charge of $25 per bag if your garbage and recycling is not sorted properly and requires additional handling to meet municipality dump requirements.
• We hope that you will be mindful of your waste during your stay as there is a reasonable limit to the amount we can handle. We are able to dispose of up to 3 full size bags of garbage/recycling in total. For every additional bag of garbage/recycling there is a charge of $25/bag in order to arrange for additional waste removal to the dump. However, we do provide complimentary dump passes in the Welcome Binder if you would like to dispose of your extra garbage. The dump is located 10 minutes away in Dunchurch on York Street off of Hwy 124. Alternatively, you are welcome to take your garbage/recycling home with you if you do not want to sort it or pay any additional handling fee.
