Thank you for choosing our home for your special time away. To ensure your visit goes smoothly we would like to ask that the following requests be followed. Please share this information with your entire party-Thank you.
*Quiet Hours-Please be considerate about your noise level especially as you ease into the evening hours. 10:00pm is the time to bring voices inside so that our wonderful neighbors can get a good night's sleep. Be it the back patio, side yard or front porch or inside the house, voices carry. Please don't wait to be contacted by an angry neighbor, your booking platform or by us your hosts.
-We also must mention children who constantly scream at the top of their lungs for the pure joy of it, can be very disruptive. Please monitor your loved ones so that we won't have to. You will be contacted by your booking platform should this request be ignored.
-A barking dog is no fun for anyone, and we appreciate you monitoring their behavior. Try not to leave them alone inside the house for very long and be sure when leaving the gated yard that they are on their leash. Our town is VERY dog friendly many restaurants allow patio seating with your furry friend by your side!
*Smoking, vaping, e‑cigarettes, incense or candles are not allowed anywhere inside the house or outside on the property. You must respect this request or be subject to a $300 odor violation. Should you need to smoke, outside the fenced yard is appropriate. We also ask that afterwards you give the lingering scent time to lighten before stepping back inside. Should the interior have any hints of odor, the same $300 odor violation will be implemented.
-This is a big one-please respect our request.
*Dogs staying with you during your visit must be pre-registered with your Host. At that time the dog fee will be requested. Visiting dogs are not allowed unless they have been registered. Communication with your Host is key. Please ask that a dog fee request be sent to you prior to their visit.
-Visiting dogs bring extra dog hair, property wear & tear which increases our maintenance. A max of 3 dogs per stay is welcome. Anything more than that will need to be pre-approved. If your dog is a legal support animal, please provide proof of their government issued license in order to avoid paying the fee.
-Should you need to leave your dog inside the house for a limited time (4 hours max) be sure to have a crate available for them. The only other option is to confine them to the kitchen area secured by a dog gate. Our town is very dog friendly and many restaurants allow patio seating with your furry friends by your side!
-Dogs are a big part of the family, and a big part of your vacation. Understanding this, we cover to protect a majority of the furniture. We appreciate that you want to cuddle and snuggle with your pup. However if they accidentally tear, stain or destroy any part of the furnishings we will expect that you cover the cost of their damages.
-Lastly, when leaving the property be sure to have your pup on a leash. This is a preventive & safety measure keeping both your pup and our neighbors happily coexisting.
*Events of any kind especially PARTIES are not allowed-Sorry to say, we just can't accommodate events of any size.
*The home is ideal for entertaining families with children young and old! However, it is not a "Childproof" home. We have stairs, where they might fall. We have lamp cords, glass table tops & uncovered outlets that could prove to be concerning. We do what we can, but the responsibility relies on you and not on us.
*Your cleaning fee does not cover excessive cleaning. Should you leave the house is extreme disarray, taking us additional time to put back together, we will need to charge an additional cleaning fee of $75 per hour. This also includes the outside and picking up after your pup. We've tried to limit the list of things to do while checking out, however, it is good to know everything you need to tidy up after yourself is in the home. Vacuums, mops, cleaning supplies etc. But please do not wash the towels and sheets. We must have the opportunity to attempt removal of stains in our very own special way.
-This brings us to the Hot Tub. During your stay, if the water turns from clean to green or merky, it means someone is using it as a toilet. Please discuss this with little ones prior to their entering the water, and after an hour suggest a potty break. As for adults, hopefully this won't happen. However, water changes color due to natural body oil, lotions and spilled beverages. Reach out for a FREE Hot Tub service during your stay. One service is offered at not additional charge-happy to help keep your water clean and our Hot Tub happy.
-Excessive grass & dirt in the water is subject to an additional cleaning fee of $50 per hour
-Children under 18 may not be left unattended by an adult age 21 or older
*Just a nice reminder as to how your personal and private space is respected here at our Downtown Getaway in CDA...
There are two cameras on the property and two sound devices. The first camera is part of our Ring Doorbell located at the front door. Providing Sydney and I visual and audio access. The second camera & motion light, watches over the private parking space at the back of the house. Generally, at your check in we may look to be sure you were able to access the inside of the house. Once we know you are inside, we know all is well. There is a "Noise Aware" sound device in the living room and another outside just above the back door. The device monitors raising sound decibels and sends a warning. This prevents gatherings from getting out of hand.
That is about it! Lastly, the property manager lives on the back of the property. Your space is not observed by them, unless they feel the need to wave hello or the need to ask you to keep the noise down. Other than these measures the space is completely and privately yours.
We feel these rules are reasonable and hope you will feel the same. Should you have any questions or wish to better understand these requests, reach out to us directly.
Thank you,
Samantha & Sydney
