Discover a unique escape at Le Cardinal, a beautiful wooden chalet built on stilts along the mountainside in Matawinie, Quebec. Part of the exclusive 'Le Village Perché' collection, this new construction provides a one-of-a-kind lodging experience elevated above the landscape to offer stunning views of the L'Assomption River and the surrounding natural beauty.
The chalet is thoughtfully designed for two guests, featuring 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 bathroom. The layout is spread across multiple levels to maximize the scenery. The main living area is cozy and inviting, equipped with a kitchenette, a table with two chairs, and an electric fireplace for warmth. This level opens onto the first of three balconies, where you will find a BBQ and comfortable outdoor furniture perfect for taking in the vistas.
Ascend to the upper level to find the bedroom, which opens onto a second balcony offering an even more beautiful view of the region. For ultimate relaxation, a third balcony located beneath the chalet houses a 4-season spa, allowing you to unwind and immerse yourself in nature regardless of the season.
Located in a serene setting, guests have access to the river via a path across the street. While Le Cardinal shares the property with two other chalets—Colibri and Mésange—contact remains minimal, ensuring your privacy and peace. Please note that there is no Wi-Fi, encouraging a true disconnect from the digital world.
Practical Information:
Important Access Note: The chalet is located at the end of a steep slope. In winter, this terrain can be slippery and icy. While every effort is made to sand and remove snow, the nature of the slope makes this challenging. For those without a 4x4 vehicle, it is strongly recommended to park at the top of the slope along the roadside next to the 'No Parking' sign to avoid the risk of getting stuck.
