The vitality of our community is dependent on you and I as both visitors and residents. We ask that you please practice mindfulness, and kindness, when interacting with business owners, service industry, and visitors alike. Additionally, house rules are intended to maximize the comfort of your stay. We ask all guests to please treat this space with respect and care.

[PARKING] There is one designated parking spot on the property for our guests. Street parking is prohibited between the winter months of November 15 - May 15, annually. Guests are responsible for tickets issues by law enforcement if parked illegally.

[LOCKS] Guests are asked to lock all doors and windows when entering and exiting the unit.

[TRASH] Keep Tahoe Blue by disposing of trash at all times in designated bear boxes only. As a critical reminder, and for your own safety against bears, do not leave food (including wrappers) in your car or outside. Pack it in, pack it out.

[GUEST EXPECTATIONS] We kindly ask that guests please do not wear their shoes inside the house in order to maintain the unit's quality and cleanliness.

[AC / HEAT] We ask that guests practice sustainability when operating the air conditioning and heating units. Guests are asked to turn off or adjust the thermostat at or below 65 degrees when not at home.

[SERVICE ANIMALS] Service animals are permitted in accordance with California law, which defines them as working animals, not pets, trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities and does not include emotional support animals. As hosts who deeply respect individuals requiring such assistance, reserve the right to ask guests, in compliance with ADA guidelines, to confirm if guest’s service animal is required due to a disability and what task the animal has been trained to perform. Failure to provide this information may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

Service animals must be on a leash or harness at all times and have an official identification tag. A refundable $300 deposit is required for all stays with service animals, which will be processed through Airbnb’s "Request Money" feature. This deposit covers potential damage, excessive hair, odors, and animal waste left on the property if not properly managed by the handler or their accompanying adult. In efforts to maintain an allergen-free environment, service animals are not permitted on couches or beds.

[DAMAGES] Guests are responsible for all damages that occur during their stay, including but not limited to accidental breakage, wall damage, stains, fabric tears, potent odors, excessive soil, spills, fires, burns, smoke, holes, or damage to the hot tub, its components, patio furniture, indoor furniture, the gas grill, or the EV charger.

[HOT TUB] The hot tub is for registered guests aged 18+ and is intended for relaxation only. Partying, amplified music, glass, oils, and soaps are strictly prohibited. Guests must shower before use, especially after physical activities or beach days. Please maintain soft voices at all times, with zero noise tolerance after 10 PM. For health and safety, guests use the hot tub at their own risk and must turn off lights, jets, and securely cover the hot tub after each use. Any damage resulting from improper use or handling of the hot tub will be the guest's responsibility.
