We kindly request that guests adhere to the following house rules during their stay with us:

**NO-SHOE POLICY - For the comfort of all guests, shoes are not allowed inside the chalet. There is a $50 fee per carpet or rug stain that is left behind.

**NO SMOKING - No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the chalet or on the property. It is important to note that our chalet is a non-smoking property. There will be a $475 penalty for any violation of this rule.

**NO PETS - Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate pets at this time. If you violate the no pet policy, a fee of $225 per day will be charged. However, if you have a certified support dog, please inform us before your arrival so we can make the necessary arrangements.

**NOT SUITABLE FOR PETS OR SERVICE/EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS: See complete legal disclosure below.

**FIRES AND BEARS - Please do not start fires on the property and do not leave any food or garbage outside, as this can attract bears to the area.

**WIFI LIMITATIONS - Due to our remote location, please be aware that our wifi connection may be spotty at times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Consider bringing a back-up option if this is important to you.

***SEPTIC - Our chalet is equipped with a septic system, so we kindly ask that only toilet paper is flushed down the toilets. If the septic system is clogged due to inappropriate items being flushed, a fee will be assessed to cover repairs.

**GUEST COUNT - Please be mindful of the number of guests in your group, as excessive guests beyond the reservation will result in a fee of $125 per guest per night.

**INTERNET TAMPERING - Please do not unplug or tamper with the internet during your stay. A fee of $375 will be assessed for any damage or tampering.

**LOST KEYS - If you lose the keys to the chalet, a fee of $395 will be charged to rekey the property.

**LOST ITEM RETURN - We are not responsible for any items left behind after a Guest's stay. If you leave behind personal items, we will return it for the cost of shipping and our cleaner's time shipping items. The minimum fee to return any item is $100. Please double-checkthat you have all of your belongings at checkout.

**NO GLITTER OR CONFETTI - Both are remarkably challenging and time-intensive to remove. To maintain cleanliness and protect the environment, glitter and confetti are not allowed inside or on the property. Disregarding this will result in an additional $300 cleaning fee.

**NO ADDITIONAL DECORATIONS - Guests bringing their own decor / decorations can be extremely difficult to clean up after as well as cause damage to the property and environment. Disregarding this will result in an additional $300 cleaning fee.

**LATE CHECKOUT - Any late checkout past 11 AM without prior written consent will result in a fee of $85 per each hour over.

**MAILING PACKAGES - Please refrain from mailing packages to the chalet.

**NO LOCALS - Sorry please be aware of Airbnb is not intended for locals.

***NOT SUITABLE FOR PETS OR SERVICE/EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS: Thank you for considering our cabin for your stay. Unfortunately, we cannot allow pets, service animals, or emotional support animals on our property. Our cabin is our primary residence that we share with guests when we are not there.

We have a strict no-pet policy due to health concerns. Both myself and my toddler have severe asthma and allergies to pets, which can lead to life-threatening reactions, including but not limited to severe asthma exacerbation, respiratory failure, and potentially permanent disability or death. Even minimal exposure to pet allergens can trigger a severe reaction, and as such, we must maintain a pet-free environment in our home. We understand that pets are an important part of many people's lives, but for our safety, we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

Moreover, the remote location of our property makes veterinary care difficult to access in case of an emergency, putting pets at risk if they become ill or injured during their stay.

We have consulted with a legal professional and determined that we are exempt from accommodating service and emotional support animals due to our medical conditions. Accommodating such animals would impose an undue financial or administrative burden on us and would fundamentally alter the nature of our business.

Our area is known for bears and mountain lions, and attracting these animals with pets could be dangerous for both humans and animals. Moreover, allowing pets could pose a risk for property damage and harm to guests and animals. Our property is not fenced in and is located in a National Forest, where animals are allowed but must be on a 6ft leash at all times to ensure their safety as well as that of our guests. Breaking this rule would put our property, guests, and animals in danger due to the area's wildlife. Accommodating such animals would impose an undue financial burden. Therefore, we have a strict no-pet policy to ensure the safety of our guests, protect our property, and prevent harm to all animals.

To ensure compliance with this policy, we have cameras on the property. Disregarding this policy will result in immediate cancellation of your reservation, potential legal action, and a charge for any additional cleaning or damages caused by the animal.
