Escape to the serenity of the Colorado wilderness at the Wapiti Retreat, a spacious log home perfectly positioned for nature lovers and large gatherings in Walden. This special property serves as an ideal sanctuary for family reunions or small weddings, offering an immersive experience where the mountains meet the meadows.

Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 16 guests, the lodge features a thoughtful layout with 7 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements are diverse: the Deer Bedroom in the loft offers commanding east and west views with two twin beds, while the Elk Bedroom provides a king-size bed and a huge picture window. The Fox and Bear bedrooms both feature queen beds with spectacular western views. On the lower level, the Duck room provides a restful setting with a king bed and an enormous picture window, complemented by the Moose and Trout rooms, each offering matched twin XL beds. For additional flexibility, a queen-size sleeper couch is available in the family room.

The main floor is designed for connection, featuring a full kitchen equipped with a gas range and dishwasher, alongside two dining areas. This space provides panoramic views of the valley, beaver ponds, and the foothills of the Park Range. The lower level is a hub of activity, housing a large Family/Recreation Room that doubles as a staging area for outdoor adventures, complete with a pool table and a 42-inch TV.

Located adjacent to Routt National Forest and the Zirkel Wilderness, the retreat is a haven for wildlife including moose, elk, and pronghorn. Guests have non-motorized access to 270 acres of property, including the private Elk Run trail for hiking, biking, and snowshoeing. For a unique summer experience, explore the Narnia Trail to witness two merging waterfalls on the Roaring Ditch.
