This secluded cabin features 2 comfortable bedrooms with 2 beds and 1 full bathroom with walk-in shower, accommodating up to 6 guests. Built overlooking a spectacular valley between Creede and Lake City, the cabin offers complete privacy and breathtaking mountain and valley views that will leave you speechless.

Key amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with 4-burner stove and refrigerator, cozy indoor fireplace with provided wood, spacious patio with BBQ grill, and free parking on premises. The cabin operates entirely on propane power, with hot water drawn directly from a mountain spring and tested annually. Essential linens, towels, cooking basics, dishes, and even a coffee maker with percolator are provided. Children's books and toys are available for families, and pets are welcome with specific policies.

Located on Oleo Ranch, 18 miles from Lake City on the backside of Slumgullion Pass, you'll discover five stocked ponds and 1.5 miles of private streams perfect for fishing. The property offers miles of scenic hiking trails where moose and elk are frequently spotted, while hummingbirds gather around the feeders. Summer brings colorful wildflowers and aspen groves, while fall delivers spectacular foliage. With zero light pollution, stargazing becomes an incredible nightly experience.

Day trip opportunities abound, from climbing area 14,000-foot peaks to fishing the Rio Grande River, hiking the Continental Divide Trail, or simply enjoying ice cream in charming Lake City. Average temperatures reach 70 degrees during the day and can drop below freezing at night, providing perfect relief from summer heat.

Important details: No electricity, TV, internet, or cell service available - this is true off-grid living. Generators are strictly prohibited to maintain the peaceful atmosphere. You'll need to bring all food supplies, as the nearest grocery stores are in Lake City (17 miles) or Creede (36 miles). The cabin is located at high altitude, so plan accordingly for acclimatization.

Pet policy: Dogs welcome with $25 per dog fee and $100 refundable deposit per dog. Maximum 2 dogs per stay. Dogs must remain off furniture and cannot be left unattended for extended periods.
