Give your body and soul an Eagles Nest rest at the Eagles Nest Cabin, a one-of-a-kind mountain retreat perched high on a cliff in Bayfield, Colorado. Located at an elevation of 7,939 feet, this rustic, secluded, and private sanctuary offers a truly unique experience with breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Continental Divide, 14,000 ft snow-capped peaks, and the shimmering streams of the valley below.

Designed as a labor of love, the cabin's exterior was transformed by a western movie set designer to resemble a 200-year-old mountain home, preserving a rustic ambiance while providing every modern convenience inside. The layout includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 8 guests. Sleeping arrangements feature a King bed in the master bedroom, a Queen bed in the second bedroom, and two twin bunks in the third bedroom. The home also boasts beautifully updated bathrooms, including a newly remodeled walk-in shower with a glass enclosure in the master and a rain shower combination in the second bath.

While the structured amenities list is currently limited, the interior is thoughtfully appointed with a modern fully stocked kitchen, a coffee and espresso bar, updated furniture, and a state-of-the-art audio visual system. For relaxation, guests can spend their time under the gazebo on a large 700 square foot gated deck, nature gazing or admiring the millions of stars that hover above the rooftop at night.

Nestled against the borders of the Weminuche wilderness and the San Juan national park, the property provides direct access to hiking trails. The surrounding Vallecito area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering cycling, horseback riding, fly fishing, hunting, and boating near the local marina. Downtown Durango is located approximately 26 miles away, and Purgatory Ski Resort is about 50 miles from the cabin.
