About Property

Escape to Ross Farm Cabin, a thoughtfully designed retreat located just outside Meeniyan in the heart of South Gippsland. Once part of a working dairy farm, this design-led sanctuary has been carefully restored with a warm mix of natural materials—including timber, stone, and steel—to create a space defined by simplicity, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to nature.

Designed specifically for singles or couples seeking to slow down, the layout features 1 bedroom with 1 bed and 1 bathroom. The interior is an invitation to reset, featuring a cozy and inviting living area and a well-equipped kitchen perfect for preparing thoughtful, slow meals. The bathroom is a highlight of the retreat, offering a rainfall shower and a stunning handcrafted timber bath made from locally sourced cypress from the surrounding hills, designed for deep, restorative soaks. For those who wish to bathe under the open sky, an outdoor shower is also available.

Outside, the experience extends into the peaceful landscape. Guests can enjoy their own private fire pit for evenings under the stars, a deck for taking in the secluded outlook, and a shared kitchen garden to pick fresh herbs. You are also invited to collect fresh eggs from the small flock of hens on-site. To ensure an immersive stay, the cabin provides Relaxed Linen bedding, soft bath towels, linen bathrobes, and slippers.

Located in the welcoming village of Meeniyan, the property is just a 10-minute scenic walk into town, where you'll find a creative community, independent shops, art galleries, and renowned farm-to-table dining. The Great Southern Rail Trail passes through town, providing a beautiful route for cycling or walking. For further exploration, the cabin is just 30 minutes from the untouched beaches and dramatic coastlines of Wilsons Promontory, as well as local wineries and the Strzelecki Ranges.
