Escape to L'Ancestral, a unique retreat in Sainte-Marguerite, Quebec, where historical charm meets the serene beauty of the Chaudières-Appalaches region. This one-of-a-kind chalet preserves its ancestral cachet, offering an indescribable view of a private lake that can be enjoyed for summer activities or winter skating.

Designed for relaxation and gathering, the home features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The sleeping arrangements include a Queen bed on the ground floor, and both a Queen bed and a double bed in the upstairs bedrooms, comfortably accommodating 6 guests. The living room further provides a sofa bed for additional flexibility.

The interior is designed to charm, featuring a living area with huge windows and a cozy wood fireplace, complete with a TV and DVD player. Step back in time in the kitchen of yesteryear, which retains a wood stove and a small stove alongside a fridge and a Keurig coffee maker. For special evenings, both gas and electric fondue stoves are available. While the historical atmosphere is prioritized, the home is equipped with air conditioning for modern comfort.

Outdoor living is a highlight of the property. Guests have access to a private dock and a variety of watercraft, including two adult kayaks, two children's kayaks, one canoe, and one paddle board. The experience is rounded out by a fire area and two BBQs, perfect for evening conversations and storytelling.

Located in a region famous for its vibrant fall colors and vast green spaces, the chalet is minutes away from the Miller zoo, Microbrasserie Frampton Brasse, and local favorites like the La Levée du Jour bakery, Fromagerie Cassis et Mélisse, and Ferme du Vieux Chemin. Nature lovers can explore the Parc régional du Massif du Sud for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and fat biking in winter, or hiking, mountain biking, and fishing in the summer.

• Arrival is not possible on December 25th and January 1st
• Mandatory 3-night minimum stay applies during Christmas, School break, Easter, National Patriot's Day, St-Jean Baptiste Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, and Thanksgiving
• Guest count must not exceed the number indicated at booking

Maintenance personnel may be present outside the chalet Monday through Friday (7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for groundskeeping, snow removal, or waste management to ensure the property remains in top condition.
