Discover a spectacular escape at The Den, a self-contained holiday cottage set within a Grade II listed farm in the heart of Dartmoor. Located in Postbridge, Devon, this spectacularly beautiful retreat is the perfect destination for a countryside break away from the city.

This smart, colourful, and comfy cottage blends rustic charm with modern convenience, featuring traditional low beams and lintels throughout. The layout consists of 2 bedrooms with 2 beds and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 4 guests. The sleeping arrangements include a double bedroom with an en suite shower-room that offers a pleasant view of the stable yard, as well as a second bedroom with twin beds and a separate shower-room equipped with a shower seat.

Designed for comfort and character, the home features a fitted kitchen complete with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freezer, gas cooker, and larder fridge. A ramp leads to the hall, while stairs take you up to the living and dining area, where you will find a TV, DVD, and video player set against a backdrop of floorboards, rugs, and long, lovely moorland views. Guests can enjoy the purity of spring water provided on-site.

Headland Warren Farm is tucked away off a small open moorland road, positioned between the routes connecting Moretonhampstead, Two Bridges, Widecombe-in-the-Moor, and Chagford. The nearby village of Widecombe is the touristic center of Dartmoor, offering excellent pubs and the historic Widecombe cathedral. For those venturing further, the cathedral city of Exeter is a 40-minute drive away, and the stunning South Devon coast beaches are located between 45 and 75 minutes away. A car is strongly recommended for visiting.

• Pets: One dog is allowed with a £35 cleaning surcharge
• Safety: Due to the presence of a stream and pond, children must be under parental supervision at all times; bookings with children under 5 are generally not accepted
• Restrictions: Strictly no smoking in the cottage; BBQs and open fires are prohibited
• Utilities: The farm is totally self-sufficient with electricity from a generator, bottled gas for cooking, and water pumped from a local stream. Please be mindful not to exceed the electricity supply when using multiple machines
• Connectivity: WiFi is available, though it is slow and unreliable, suitable only for low-consumption activities
