Steeped in island history, The Lane House occupies the site where Frederick Lane, one of Lummi Island's earliest settlers from 1880, once lived. Lane served as lighthouse keeper, school superintendent, and postmaster, helping shape this charming island community.

Important Information: The driveway is extremely steep - all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. No gas station exists on Lummi Island, so fuel up before arrival. Ferry service is suspended during April-June maintenance (2025 dates: April 26th-May 11th) when only foot passenger/bike access is available. Well-behaved dogs may be considered on individual basis with advance approval - pets must accompany guests when leaving property and are prohibited on furniture/beds. Additional fees apply for pet policy violations.
