Discover the ultimate adventure base at Stardust Big Bend in Terlingua, where you can stay in our cozy, budget-friendly container home. Perfectly positioned for nature lovers, this unique retreat offers a smart way to experience the desert without sacrificing access to high-end communal perks.
Designed for efficiency, the container home features 2 bedrooms, each equipped with a queen bed, and 1 bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests. While the interior is cozy—with containers being 8 feet wide—the home is fully equipped for your stay. The full kitchen includes all cooking essentials, such as pots, pans, utensils, plates, silverware, spices, oil, coffee, creamer, and sugar. A full fridge, freezer, oven, and stove allow you to prepare meals and save money during your trip. To ensure a refreshing stay, we provide clean white linen and towels.
When you want to spread out, you have 24/7 access to our large clubhouse next door. This vibrant social hub is packed with entertainment, including a pool table, arcade games, giant air hockey, foosball, and darts. You can also unwind in our new shared barrel sauna, available for dry or wet steam use—perfect for relaxing sore muscles after a long day of hiking.
Outside, enjoy a gorgeous view of the Chisos Mountains from the four chairs surrounding your private fire pit. For your convenience, a charcoal BBQ grill with grilling utensils, lighter fluid, and a lighter is located right next to the container. The facility also features on-site guest laundry with a washer and dryer (detergent provided) and level-2 EV chargers for Tesla (NACS) and non-Tesla (J1772) vehicles for an additional $30 fee per night. For peace of mind, we are one of the few properties in the area with backup Generac generators to ensure power during frequent desert outages.
Located centrally on the main highway, you are just 3 minutes from the ghost town and 5 minutes from Big Bend National Park. The surrounding area consists of vast empty spaces, offering unrestricted views of the Chisos Mountains and Santa Elena Canyon. A car is essential for exploring the region.
