Escape to Driftwood Cabin, a beautiful A-frame sanctuary in Talking Rock, Georgia, designed for those seeking a nice and quiet get-away. This completely remodeled retreat offers a gorgeous riverfront setting where the sounds of rustling water and the warmth of the North Georgia Mountains create an inviting atmosphere for two guests.
The interior layout is thoughtfully designed to maximize coziness. The main level features a great room centered around a gas log fireplace with a 65” TV, complemented by two recliner chairs and a reclining love seat for ultimate relaxation. For entertainment, a selection of books, board games, and cards are provided. The fully furnished kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, a separate beverage cooler, and a beautiful pine dining table. The main floor is completed by a bathroom featuring a large walk-in tile shower with an overhead rain faucet. A spiral staircase leads to the loft, where a king size bed overlooks the cozy living room below.
Outside, Driftwood reveals its true character. The covered front porch, furnished with two rockers, offers a stunning river view and a view of the opposite rock cliff. A large wraparound deck provides lounge chairs, a table, and a large umbrella, while a full-size hot tub rests under a pergola at the back of the home. In the yard, a stone fire pit with Adirondack chairs awaits your evening gatherings.
Adventure is available right at your doorstep. Guests can enjoy a "two-beer float" tube ride back to the cabin or explore a deep swimming hole just downstream. For the more adventurous, kayak or canoe trips to Carters Lake take approximately 7–8 hours. Those preferring land activities will find terrific mountain biking and hiking trails at the nearby Talking Rock Nature Center. The cabin is conveniently located near Amicalola and Ft Mountain State Parks, as well as the charming towns of Jasper, Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and Dahlonega, and various wineries.
