About Property

Discover a perfect retreat at Barebones Glamping in Hexham, England, where unique design meets cozy comfort. These glamping cabins are thoughtfully designed to resemble upturned clinker fishing boats, reminiscent of the traditional boats used by coastal communities on Northumberland’s Lindisfarne Island, creating a beautiful all-season living space for your getaway.

The cabin is configured with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, accommodating up to 4 guests (or 4 adults and one child under 12 years old). The sleeping arrangements include a fixed king-sized bed with a proper comfortable mattress in a bedroom area that can be curtained off for privacy, complemented by a king-sized double sofa bed in the main living space.

Inside, the cabin is equipped for a seamless stay with a functional kitchenette featuring a double ceramic hob, electric oven with grill, fridge with a small ice box compartment, sink, kettle, and toaster. For dining, there is a practical drop-leaf table with folding chairs. Entertainment and comfort are ensured with a 28” smart TV, DVD player, electric heating, and WiFi. The en-suite shower room includes a flushing toilet, shower, sink, and shaver socket.

Outdoor living is a highlight of the experience. A private decking area at the front leads to a personal gravelled area to the side, offering unhindered views over the lake toward Bristol Lodge, the former home of author Catherine Cookson. This outdoor space includes seating around a firepit and BBQ, perfect for long evenings under the stars. To enhance your stay, bird spotting and stargazing guides along with OS explorer maps are provided.

Families will appreciate the on-site children’s play area, designed by Langley Furniture Works. Following a nautical theme, it features a cargo net, slide, balance beams, a small boat, and a raised boat platform for imaginative pirate play.
