The space
Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and lake from the large deck, front porch, and fire pit area. Our dark skies offer excellent starry night viewing as well. The lake is ready for adventure with fishing (catch and release), kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming. Kayaks are provided for our guest's use. You can bring a pole and some bait and explore 3 other ponds along our hiking trail. All that and Guadalupe river access a 1/2 mile away (this is walkable for some, however, there is a hill to climb before the road flattens out)! There is a shared pool with the rest of the resort and it is located at the resort entrance (not at the Lodge). Basecamp encompasses 34 acres (the Lodge sits on approximately 5 acres, across the lake from the other cabins & tents) and we have transformed it into a glamping resort. We have 3 smaller cabins: the Rocking F Rambler, a 1 BR/1 bath cabin, Carmel Cottage, a 1/1 and Casita Juanita, a 1/1 efficiency. These three cabins are located just across the lake on the 34-acre property. We have 5 glamping tents as well...each with its own private hot tub and yard. The tents are 1/1's with king bed and queen sofa beds. Check them out....Marymeade, Lizzie Joy, Wagon Wheel, Edgewater, and Japonica.

PET POLICY: We welcome dogs (max 2) for a $75 pet fee. We love dogs (we have 2 of our own) and we are super happy to be able to provide a pet friendly home. In order to keep the property dog-friendly, we kindly ask that you:
- Clean up after your dog, both inside and outside (we provide dog waste bags at the lodge).
- Do not allow your dog on the furniture; this means both the couches and the beds.
- Dogs may not be left unattended inside the home unless you bring a crate.
- Dogs are not allowed in the pool area. There are no exceptions to this rule, as this is associated with Texas law.
- There will be a $250 fee assessed if evidence is found that an undisclosed pet was brought onto the property.
There is a separate fenced-in yard, near the home, where dogs can be kept. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and will help us keep the lodge pet friendly for future guests!!! We do not allow cats on the property.
Important things to note:
The grill is propane, so there is no need to bring charcoal. We provide firewood for the fireplace and fire pit. Please be considerate with your usage.

Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside The Lodge. If there is evidence of smoking inside the property, the renter's deposit will automatically be withheld. If you choose to smoke outdoors, please stay a minimum of 25 feet from the home and remove any traces of cigarette butts, etc.

All amenities are for registered guests only.

Please note: There are two additional bedrooms, a bathroom and a bunkroom that will be locked during your stay. Access is not allowed to these rooms. The Lodge can be rented as 4 BR with detached bunkroom as well, however this listing is for 2 BR's.

A rental agreement and damage deposit are required prior to arrival. A $500 hold will be placed on guest’s credit card two days prior to reservation date and released once the property has been assessed for damages. There is NO CHARGE to guest’s credit card unless there are property damages. The hold is automatically released after the reservation. We have never withheld a deposit before, and very likely will never have to, because we have the most awesome guests!!!
