About Property

Discover the ultimate lakeside escape at The Lakehouse of Braeloch, a one-of-a-kind classic cedar ranch nestled on three private acres of old-growth forest in Colchester, Vermont. This stunning retreat offers a rare blend of total privacy and convenient access, situated just 20 minutes from the vibrant energy of downtown Burlington and 90 minutes from Montreal.

Designed for large family gatherings, the home features a layout of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to 14 guests. The heart of the home is a spectacular great room boasting soaring 24-foot wood-paneled ceilings, Douglas fir beams, wide-plank pine floors, and a cozy Vermont Castings wood stove. This space flows seamlessly into a modern chef's kitchen equipped with expansive granite counterspace and an Italian Bertazzoni oven. A dramatic five-panel NanaWall transforms the 400 SF screened porch into an open-air pavilion, blending indoor luxury with the natural beauty of the outdoors.

The sleeping arrangements are thoughtfully distributed to suit all ages. Four bedrooms are located on the main level, including two 'dueling' primary suites with grand walk-in California closets and French doors opening to private sun decks. Downstairs, you will find 'Champ's Lair'—a kids' paradise featuring twin bunk beds, a toddler bed, and a full-sized stand up video arcade game—alongside a large, quiet bedroom with a queen bed and pull-out sofa, ideal for those traveling with pets.

Outdoor living is extraordinary here, with 2,700 SF of decks and patios. Guests can relax in the eight-person hot tub, gather around the wood-burning fire pit, or enjoy the lakefront, which features two private swim beaches and a new steel-truss floating dock. For active guests, the surrounding Braeloch community provides tennis, pickleball, and quarter basketball courts.
