The space
Step through a majestic entrance staircase and into a piece of Ghent's living history — a carefully restored 18th-century apartment set within a renovated mansion, just minutes from the medieval towers and cobbled waterways that define this city. Soaring ceilings draw your eye upward the moment you arrive, while warm hardwood floors run throughout, grounding the space with character and a sense of permanence that newer builds simply cannot replicate. This is Ghent at its most authentic, and it is right at your doorstep.

Living space
The apartment sits on the second floor of a historic building (please note: there is no lift), accessed via an impressive staircase that sets the tone for the entire stay. A dedicated workspace makes it suitable for those blending travel with work, and the patio or balcony provides a private outdoor retreat where you can unwind with a locally brewed beer or a morning coffee while taking in city and garden views. The layout is calm and well-proportioned, offering a peaceful base despite being moments from some of Belgium's most celebrated streets.

Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms, each furnished with a double bed, provide restful accommodation for up to four guests. A sofa bed in the living area accommodates a fifth guest, giving the apartment genuine flexibility for small groups or families travelling together.

Kitchen & dining
The fully equipped kitchen is ready for everything from a quick breakfast to a proper sit-down meal. You will find a refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, microwave, and hot water kettle, along with cooking basics, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses. A dining table completes the setup, so there is no need to eat out for every meal - though with Ghent's dining scene a short walk away, you will likely be tempted.

Bathroom
The modern bathroom comes well-stocked with the essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, shower gel, and a hair dryer. Hot water is reliable, and cleaning products are on hand throughout your stay.

Practical details
Self check-in via lockbox makes arrival straightforward at any hour. The apartment includes essentials - towels, bed linens, soap, and toilet paper - along with hangers, an iron, and an in-room safe for added security. Baby safety gates are available for families travelling with young children. A smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all in place. Please be aware that construction work is ongoing at a neighbouring property during standard working hours.
Parking is not included in the booking but several options are close by: street parking (€6/day), , paid underground parking can be found off-premises (approximately €12/day), and a free park-and-ride facility is accessible roughly 30 minutes away by tram.

Location
Ghent rewards those who explore on foot, and this apartment places you at the centre of it all. The Gravensteen - Ghent's striking medieval castle - is within a few minutes' walk, as are the city's winding historic streets, independent boutiques, well-known shops, traditional Flemish bistros, and international restaurants. Supermarkets and convenience stores are close by for everyday needs, and the neighbourhood's cafes are ideal for settling in with a coffee or a local beer. Trams and buses are easily accessible for reaching further parts of the city, though much of what makes Ghent special is within comfortable walking distance. Long-term stays are welcome for those looking to truly settle in and experience the rhythm of the city.

Guest access
Welcome to your home away from home in the heart of Ghent! During your stay, you'll have exclusive access to the entire apartment. This includes two comfortable bedrooms, each with a double bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep. The living area features a cozy sofa bed, providing additional sleeping space. You'll also have full use of the fully equipped kitchen, where you can prepare your own meals with ease. The modern bathroom is stocked with essential amenities for your convenience. Step outside onto the large terrace and enjoy the fresh air and city views. Please note that the apartment is located on the second floor, without a lift. The apartment is located in a peaceful neighborhood, but you'll be steps away from the city center attractions.
