The space
Step into De Blauwe Kroon and feel the quiet close around you. Tucked in the peaceful countryside of Oostkamp, this authentic Belgian home wraps you in warmth the moment you arrive - wooden interiors, a crackling pellet stove, and a garden that feels like it belongs to another era. It's the kind of place where slowing down comes naturally, and where the days feel longer in the best possible way.

Living space
The heart of the home is a cosy living area centred around a pellet stove - perfect for gathering in the evenings after a day of exploring. Warm timber finishes run throughout, giving every room a grounded, cabin-like feel without sacrificing comfort. A dedicated workspace and Wi-Fi mean that if you do need to stay connected, you can. A TV rounds out the living space for quieter nights in.

Sleeping arrangements
Three bedrooms sleep up to six guests comfortably. Beds are made up with fresh linens, and hangers are provided throughout. Note that the property features a steep staircase, which may not suit all guests - worth keeping in mind when booking for mixed groups.

Kitchen & dining
The traditional wooden kitchen is well-equipped for proper home cooking. You'll find a gas stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and hot water kettle, along with cooking basics, dishes, and silverware. Whether you're putting together a quick breakfast or a long shared dinner, everything you need is on hand.

Bathroom
One bathroom - accessible through the master bedroom - includes a shower, hair dryer, shampoo, and hot water. Towels, bed sheets, soap, and toilet paper are all provided.

Sauna
After a day out, the sauna is waiting. Whether you've been walking the canals of Bruges or cycling the Flemish countryside, it's the perfect way to wind down before dinner.

Outdoor space
Step outside to a backyard garden with a terrace - a quiet spot for morning coffee or an evening meal in the open air. The surrounding area is calm and unhurried, with the sounds of nature rather than traffic setting the tone.

Location
Oostkamp sits at the centre of a remarkable triangle. Bruges is around 15 minutes away, Ghent around 20 - two of Belgium's most celebrated cities, each with their own character and well worth at least a full day each. The coast is also within easy reach for a breath of sea air. Free parking is available both on the premises and on the street, so getting in and out is effortless. Baby safety gates are available on-site, and pets are welcome to join.
