Discover the magic of the historic center of picturesque Eijsden at this idyllic retreat, perfectly positioned overlooking the Maas river, the Sint Pietersberg, and the Eijsder Beemden nature reserve. Originally built in 1847 as a coach house for a monastery, this national monument and protected village site blends authenticity and atmosphere with a unique charm that transports you back in time.
The home is designed for guests seeking conviviality and character. The layout features 2 bedrooms and 2 beds, accommodating up to 4 guests. The first sleeping area is a separate bedroom featuring a double bed (160cm x 200cm), two wall cabinets, and a dresser for your belongings. The second sleeping area is a cozy mezzanine loft reachable via a steep staircase or ladder. Please note that due to the steep access and sloping ceiling (ranging from 40cm to 120cm above the bed), the loft is not suitable for small children or older guests. The property is completed by 1 bathroom containing a shower, toilet, and sink.
The heart of the home is the living room, which boasts high ceilings, marl paneling, and a leather sofa with two armchairs. A round dining table seats four, and unique high antique panel doors cleverly hide the Smart TV. French doors open onto a private terrace on the river side, offering a fantastic vantage point to watch the sunset over the Maas.
