About Property

Discover the essence of authentic Wyoming at Clear Creek Crossing, a stunning hand-built log cabin tucked into the cottonwoods of Buffalo. This is not a rental that merely looks like a cabin; it is a true sanctuary where the Bighorn Mountains stretch across the entire horizon and the soundtrack is the gentle rush of the creek.

Across a signature footbridge over Clear Creek, you will find the main cabin, a two-story masterpiece anchored by a massive river-rock fireplace that climbs from the polished concrete floors through to the vaulted log beam ceilings. While the stone hearth is a decorative monument to rare craftsmanship, a dedicated electric fireplace insert provides warmth and ambiance to the living room. This heart of the home features leather seating, Southwestern textiles, and picture windows that frame the mountains like a painting. The downstairs also hosts a full kitchen with granite countertops and a gas range, a dining area with an oval hardwood table for six, and two bathrooms, including one with a soaker claw-foot tub and another with a walk-in tile shower. Upstairs, the landing serves as a quiet library and writing nook, leading to a king bedroom and a unique queen bedroom with two twin loft beds above, ideal for families.

For larger groups, the Bunkhouse provides a "together but separate" experience. This private apartment above the shop is accessed directly from the road and features one queen bed, four twin beds, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and a private balcony with mountain views.

Outdoor living is paramount here. Enjoy morning coffee on the deck, cast for trout in the fishable creek, or explore the Bureau of Land Management public land directly behind the property. Wildlife is a constant neighbor; expect to see mule deer in the yard, wild turkeys on the bridge, and bald eagles circling overhead.

Located near the historic town of Buffalo, guests are minutes away from the Occidental Hotel, the Clear Creek Trail System, and the breathtaking Bighorn National Forest. This is a place for those who value character over hotel-style finishes and the kind of quiet that rewires your brain.
