Discover the perfect family getaway at Hares Hill Lodge, a comfortable holiday home situated on the peaceful banks of the River Ouse in Appleton Roebuck, England. As the only rental lodge on Hales Hill Park, this riverside retreat is built for family holidays where the great outdoors does most of the entertaining, located just 20 minutes from the historic city of York.
The lodge is designed to accommodate up to 6 guests. The sleeping arrangements include a double bed in the first bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom, which comfortably suit up to 4 adults. For additional guests, the living room features a sofa bed. Please note that while the lodge sleeps 6, the space feels snug if all guests are adults, making it most ideal for families with children.

A dedicated dining area provides the perfect spot for family meals. For outdoor relaxation, guests have access to a private furnished patio and decking area complete with a BBQ, ideal for winding down after a day of exploration.
Located in the quiet Yorkshire countryside between Acaster Selby and Acaster Malbis, the lodge offers immediate access to wide open fields, riverside walks, and local wildlife. The park maintains a friendly, low-key atmosphere shared with other lodge owners and campers. Nearby attractions include the landmarks of York, the grand gardens of Castle Howard, Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo, and the immersive history of Eden Camp. As the park is situated on a quiet back road, a car is recommended for travel.
