About Property

Discover the timeless charm of Woodcutters Cottage, a beautifully restored sanctuary in Suffield, England, where rustic character meets modern luxury. This exquisite retreat is the ideal getaway for families, couples, or friends seeking a relaxing escape defined by comfort and understated elegance.

The cottage is thoughtfully configured to accommodate up to 5 guests, featuring 3 stylish bedrooms and 3 beds, complemented by 2 modern bathrooms. The layout includes a massive lounge characterized by stunning oak beams and a stunning country kitchen with an integrated dining space. For those seeking a spa-like experience, the family bathroom has been lovingly renovated to the highest standards, offering a full-sized bath and a separate walk-in shower, while the master bedroom provides the added convenience of its own private ensuite.

Every detail of this 300-year-old former estate workers property reflects a commitment to quality. Completely renovated in 2019, the interiors feature tasteful muted Farrow and Ball colours, crisp clean furnishings, and beautiful fabrics from leading British designers. This contemporary country style, accented by beautiful paintings and interesting collections of art, was so impressive it was featured in a ten-page spread in the February 2020 issue of 'Country Homes and Interiors' magazine.

Nestled in the quiet village of Suffield, the cottage sits on the edge of the Gunton estate and its expansive 1000-acre deer park. This location serves as a wonderful relaxing base, situated just a few miles inland from the north Norfolk coastline. Guests are perfectly positioned to explore the lovely inland towns of Aylsham and Holt, the vibrant city of Norwich, and the Norfolk Broads, Britain's largest area of inland waterway. The surrounding area is a haven for nature lovers and cyclists, with easy access to National Trust estates, country walks, traditional pubs, and local farm shops.
