About Property

Discover the ultimate Hudson Valley escape at Basecamp, a modern and spacious retreat nestled in Saugerties, New York. Located just two hours from NYC, this exciting modern build, completed in 2018, was inspired by the elegant simplicity of Scandinavian summer houses and named after a family trek to Everest Basecamp. Approached via a meandering 800-foot gravel driveway through the woods, the home's striking black facade emerges in a clearing that reveals gorgeous views of Overlook Mountain.

The layout features 3 bedrooms, 3 beds, and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 8 guests. Two bedrooms feature upper lofts accessed by ship's ladders, while the master bedroom offers a king-size bed and a private en suite bath with a spacious walk-in shower. A second bathroom off the main hallway includes a deep soaking tub. For those seeking a refreshing experience in warmer months, there is an outdoor vestibule for al fresco showering.

The interior is sleek and uncluttered, boasting a Zen vibe and an open-concept living area flooded with natural light via a dramatic glass wall of sliders. This space provides expansive vistas of the grounds and the 65-foot heated swimming pool with its stone terrace. The kitchen is a minimalist's dream, featuring high-end Thermador appliances integrated behind custom panels, an induction cooktop, and a warming drawer, all complemented by long fields of unobstructed counter space. For relaxation, the lounge area serves as a welcoming gathering spot with a projector for movies and a cozy fireplace for winter evenings.

Location & Neighborhood: Basecamp is situated on 19 serene and private acres in the heart of the Catskills. It is centrally located, just 10 minutes from the charming, walkable town of Woodstock—where guests can visit The Mud Club, Garden Cafe, or Silvia—as well as Saugerties and Kingston.
