Discover where comfort and history collide at Melrose Cabin, a rustic-style retreat nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Highlands, North Carolina. Originally reassembled by the famous local carpenter Joe Webb in the 1950s, this classic log cabin has endured for over 70 years, offering an authentic mountain vacation experience enhanced with modern touches.
The home is designed for a cozy getaway, featuring 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom that can accommodate up to 3 guests. The layout is thoughtfully arranged to maximize its charming footprint: the main floor hosts the living area, a full bathroom, and laundry facilities. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides access to a small back deck with seating. Sleeping arrangements are located upstairs, featuring a queen bedroom with a private door and closet, as well as a separate nook with a small double bed. This nook includes drapes that can be pulled across the doorway for additional privacy, making it an excellent spot for a third adult or a child.
Guests can enjoy a variety of features designed for relaxation and convenience:
Located in a remote setting, Melrose Cabin allows visitors to feel completely away from it all while remaining conveniently situated within Highlands. Whether you are lounging on the decked spaces or warming up by the fire, the mix of vintage and modern charm creates an inviting atmosphere.
Practical Information: Check-in is available starting at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please be aware that the minimum age to book this property is 18. Pets are not allowed.
